  1. I don't think SMH will make 370 million domestically, due to it's stiff competition for the next two weeks, but it could make 300 million or more. And "Wonder Woman" might finish at around 380 million dollars domestically. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. What do you think the second weekend drop will be? I think it will have a 47 to 50% drop during it's second weekend. Which would be better than the majority of second weekend drops for Superhero films. Some might think it's gonna have an even smaller drop. Sky's the limit here, so what are your thoughts? 3. They will always do great in China. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. But his Justice League movie would of been awesome! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I would love for George Miller to direct a two part adaption of "Convergence." It might be a mess, but it would exciting to watch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Which makes Superman more of anti-hero, than.....you know.....Superman? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. They ruined Johnathan Kent for life. It's just Zack Snyder shitting on Superman characters. It's not a shocker when Snyder killed off Jimmy Olson within the first 20 minutes of "BVS." But it was upsetting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. "Logan" would most likely get Hugh Jackmen his second Oscar nod. It's definitely his career defining performance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I hope "Wonder Woman" gets a BP Oscar nod. But I doubt it. If "TDK" couldn't get it, I doubt any superhero film is gonna get it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. This is all good signs for a great second weekend drop. I think it will have a 47 to 50% drop during it's second weekend. This is great for all of us who desperately wanted a great Female superhero film, and I'm glad it turned out to be "Wonder Woman." So hopefully every white male who runs a major studio in Hollywood can jump on the band wagon in the next 5 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. It's not as well received by the critics. But people enjoyed the sequel almost as much as the original. I think both "Guardians of the Galaxy" films are equally great in their own way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I agree. And "Wonder Woman" held up incredibly well on Sunday, so this film has excellent word of mouth, and I hope it has a 50% drop or less in it's second weekend. And if not, then Superhero films are just naturally front loaded at the box office. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I'm not really saying there was like an extra 50 million dollars being thrown in for the promotion. I'm just saying that the marketing went insane after the release of "Guardians of the Galaxy", and then the critics gave the film rave reviews, which gave WB some extra motivation to push hard for the marketing. Two months before "The Force Awakens" came out, that film was everywhere with it's marketing. Same goes for BVS and "Suicide Squad." With "Wonder Woman", it just wasn't like that. And maybe it's because it's a solo film, or maybe WB didn't feel confident enough with the film itself and hoping the critics wouldn't be too harsh. And then once the critics gave the film an overwhelmingly positive response, WB was like, "Now we got a real hit, let's push the marketing even more." Because before I knew it, the marketing was everywhere for "Wonder Woman", a good two weeks before it was finally released. I think WB got very lucky with the critics this time. 14. Take a chill pill. It's true, studio executives tend to suck and ruin films from time to time. Luckily, Patty Jenkins got to keep the "No Man's Land" scene, because it's one of the best scenes of 2017, for any film. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Almost every trailer has made the film look average to being tone deaf. Will there be a ton of good will from the love for "Wonder Woman?" Yes. [mod edit] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Unless production for JL is worse than what's being reported, it won't be delayed at all. They've done an immense amount of reshoots to make the film better than what Snyder is fully capable of, so WB has made it's bed and will have to sleep in it too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Yes, "Wonder Woman" most likely has excellent word of mouth right now. It has a great Cinemascore, and it's in the top 250 list on IMDB. Which isn't a perfect voting system, but it shows the amount of love and popularity that it's starting to get in the general population. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. This is wonderful news. "Wonder Woman" clearly has great word of mouth. Unlike some movies that were mentioned in this thread...... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I'm super happy and excited that "Wonder Woman" is a great film, and that it is being well received both critically and financially. But isn't it weird that a "Wonder Woman" film is making me feel like the world could be a better place? It's a serious film during the second half, but it's full of optimism and hope. I want a Superman film to feel that way, but it doesn't. And I blame Snyder and Goyer for that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. This article from Variety pointed out the issue that I'm talking about. This was written back in April, that was addressing the issue of Wonder Woman being buried in the marketing and not being heavily promoted. And this was basically written over two months ago. There was more marketing being done for Justice League, which isn't even out until November. And it points out how much promotion that BVS and Suicide Squad was getting a few months each films release. It was obvious that WB was using a different approach with Wonder Woman. 21. Yes I can. Because Wonder Woman did not have the same promotion or marketing blitz that BVS or Suicide Squad managed to get. When you look at WB's Facebook page on Wonder Woman, they were not giving it the same amount of attention that they were giving to BVS, Suicide Squad, or Justice League. Maybe WB didn't feel confident in Wonder Woman being well received, or they didn't want to get trounced by Marvel/Disney's marketing blitz for Guardians of the Galaxy 2. But WB went ballistic with the marketing for Wonder Woman after it got a great response from the critics. I guess it was smart on their part for using the critics and rottentomatoes to their advantage at the last minute, but it was one hell of a gamble, which makes this all the more fascinating to me. 23. Obviously it did. Especially since Wonder Woman didn't have the type of marketing that BVS and Suicide Squad managed to get. Last month, there was more marketing and promotion for "Justice League", than "Wonder Woman." So it's pretty obvious that the rave reviews for "Wonder Woman" gave WB an extra incentive to heavily promote it during the last few weeks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
