  1. With the exception of that leg, the posters for this have been really good. The only one that did the stupid floating heads thing still made it work really well.
  2. 4.1/5 and 4.25/5 from Ellis and Harloff respectively, that'll help the avg rating on RT once they get put up there.
  3. Yeah it's looking like high 70s, I'd be surprised if it wasn't certified fresh.
  4. lmao I feel my 4/5 post is becoming pretty damn accurate after a lot of these UK and Australia reviews.
  5. https://www.empireonline.com/movies/ready-player-one/review/ Usual Empire problem, they posted a link to their review on twitter but I can't read it. EDIT: I could search for the movie on their website and find at least the score. Another 4/5.
  6. Something's always happening when Spielberg's using a camera, even when it's just two people talking This shot is probably one of the best introductions to a character and one of the best opening shots to a movie in years.
  7. I feel the vast majority of reviews I've seen now (including outside RT sources) are in the 4/5 area.
  8. It's difficult with the trailers looking so dull, especially the visuals, and speaking of which... ... how do the visuals work for the actual movie? The trailers do very little to make it seem like the scenes inside the Oasis look nice because of the drab looking visuals. Is this at all a problem?
  9. Another positive came in, 79% now. Anyone got an idea when more screenings are happening?
  10. https://www.bustle.com/p/why-ryan-reynolds-deserves-to-win-a-golden-globe-for-deadpool-28158 https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/stan-lee-jokes-deadpool-cameo-898282 http://www.wired.co.uk/article/deadpool-most-successful-r-rated-film https://www.cbr.com/deadpool-snubbed-academy-awards-doctor-strange-rogue-one/ https://www.cinemablend.com/new/How-Deadpool-Would-Have-Been-Different-With-PG-13-Rating-113807.html
  11. There's a difference between top critics and all the critics though. It is unlikely to improve much, but you can't exactly use Deadpool's top critics average as an example when judging all critics, the average rating usually varies quite a bit between the two.
  12. Which wouldn't be a weak place to end up. Hell if the RT and MC score is identical to Deadpool, it will have done pretty damn well. Above expectations.
  13. The movie's had a pretty unlucky start with the average rating considering all 5 negative reviews included a rating while only 8 out of the 18 positive didn't. It's pretty split down the middle for that very reason.
  14. The RT score is starting to look better with each review (unless one of those haters a fanboy can always tell joins in). 78% 6.4 avg. rating with 23 reviews.
  15. Could finally check it out on Netflix. It's the absolute best example right now of ambiguity done right.
  16. Fuck no I won't play this game. I'll just say there are probably only about 3 or 4 that I don't at the very least like. I find enough in most of them to push it over that edge into the overall positive territory which is quite amazing when you consider how many films he's made. EDIT: oh yeah and he easily has more of my all-time favorites than any other filmmaker as well.
  17. They are. The ones I know for sure are A+ and A converting into 10/10, A- being 9/10, B+ being 8/10 and the C- score from Consequence of Sound counted as 4/10.
  18. That's what happens when all of the rottens offer their ratings and barely half of the fresh ones do lmao
  19. The MetaCritic score being at 69/100 also suggests this. It's pretty damn rare the RT percentage is lower for fresh movies.
