And it won't stop if they don't get clever. Both Venom and Silver and Black are just yet another bombs waiting to happen. Hopefully they will give up before starts production.
I doubt Venom will do poorly. Or be rotten even.

The Dark Tower is #2 on Pulse now.
So much for doom and gloom...

Critics are supposed to be fair...not actively picking a side and rooting for a demise (or smash hit).
The critic reviews for this movie should be an example of what critics should never do...
That consensus was silly. RT editors must realize the growing importance of their website.

And Gravity. 4.9 multiplier and 80% RT audience score. WTF
Gravity internet audience scores dropped harshly once Interstellar came out and didn't do quite as well with critics or the BO. Still one of my favourite movies ever.

In The US, its very debatable. For example, The Sopranos are hard to top. But Worldwide, its Number 1.
Guys, Sitcoms trump this show easily. Shows like Friends and Sienfeld. Maybe TBBT.

Doesn't really work when Beauty and the Beast is the highest grossing film of the year.
And the reason behind it being so is literally because it's not a fresh new concept.

People will always love Tobey M because he was the first one. People are attached to his interpretation.
I prefer Garfield, to all the others. But Tobey is a close second and was in the better movies.

I don't want to say that I thought SM:HC was petty bland garbage and that save a few scenes, I thought it was a near complete waste of time. If I did, it'd sound like I was some kind of whiny hater even though I was being sincere.
That being said, I'm not surprised at it's performance at all.

Poorly received by critics but all the films had positive audience scores.
I think it's implied, because so were the spidey movies. And two of those 'poorly received' spidey films are fresh on RT

We'll see how 'character fatigue' plays out in 2019. Batman's been in just as many movies

Iron Man is one of those legendary Hollywood stories like the making of Rocky or Star Wars.
It was a huge gamble from Marvel Studios.
They were tired of getting paid pennies for all these Marvel megablockbusters. So they took a huge gamble and got the director of Elf and scandalous hasbeen that Hollywood basically gave up on to create their own cinematic universe they would have complete control over. Had Iron Man flopped, Marvel would've lost the rights to not one, not two, but ALL of their biggest characters.
Well it was a break out smash and the rest is history.
Rocky?? Jesus. Star Wars??
No way near "like" those two's status. At all.
Definitely no where near the gamble and pay-off that Rocky was.

It's a disgrace that it took 76 years before we got a live action Wonder Woman movie by the way.
That's all on WB for not wanting to take chances on anyone outside of Superman and Batman.Just want to correct you and point out Catwoman, Jonah Hex and the 200m Green Lantern and Constantine. They took chances, you can't blame them for that. They kept trying to get their shared universe thing going since like the 90's with Burton even. But there were bumps in the way.

So, 13M edges to anywhere from 115-120M, which is pretty much what I expected from Spider-Man.
The top 3 Summer movies are all gonna be supers (Guardians, WW, Spidey). Also, Baby Driver has a shot of making the top 10 films of the Summer.
Everything is finally right in the world.
DM3?

As long as Wonder Woman keeps attracting that female audience, it should continue to do fine even after SMH comes out.
There really isn't any films for female audiences in July either.I kept saying this in the lead up to this movie. While everyone was talking about competition. WW has access to a demo that's not easily swayed by Transformers or the Mummy or another Spidey reboot

The director isn't bad and as for box office, expect Spider-man in the trailers.
