I don't think the Nolanites were as hard for Dunkirk as critics were. I consistently see them putting it near the bottom of their rankings.
I am in the same boat..I am a big Nolan fan but Dunkirk isn't exactly for me. I wouldn't even have bothered to watch the movie if it was directed by anyone other than Nolan.
Dunkirk & Interstellar are two Nolan movies where you might find notable differences between critics opinion vs Nolanites opinion. Nolanites love Interstellar lot more than critics whereas critics love Dunkirk lot more than Nolanites

Deadline: There’s no stopping Warner Bros. Barbie as sources tell us the Greta Gerwig movie has a shot at hitting the billion mark this Sunday worldwide, if not Monday. Stateside she’s eyeing a third weekend around $55M, -41%, give or take, and she’ll cross the $400M stateside mark by Thursday, her 15th day of release. Through yesterday, Barbie stands at $850M WW.
I don't see how it doesn't cross 1B by Sunday

Number got adjusted up. R$5.8M on monday. We're back.
R$360k-380k
Damn..that looks like a big drop for Oppenheimer
-
R$5.8M is a good number though. It made R$36.5M in the weekend...so Monday would be roughly 16% of the weekend number. I am not super familiar with what the local conditions are (summer holidays or not) but for comparison, Barbie did $15M at domestic BO on Monday which was also exactly 16.1% of it's weekend domestic BO number ($93M).

Wait..Blue Beetle's pre-sales have started today ?

It looks like Barbie has had slightly better holds than Oppenheimer in 2nd weekend in this region
-
Barbie would be at around 410M after end of 2nd week.
If Barbie has 50% weekly drop for rest of it's run, it would finish at 562M
50% weekly drop - 562M
45% weekly drop - 596M
40% weekly drop - 638M
35% weekly drop - 692M
30% weekly drop - 765M
25% weekly drop - 865M
I am leaning more towards that 35% drop scenario..it would put it close to 700M.

Anti-Feminist is not on their agenda.. Barbie ban is entirely centered around Anti-LGBTQ thats about it. MovSTo in Saudi Arabia passed many feminist movies thru the censorship before but it is easy to predict there pattern they solely stop all positive LGBTQ elements or movies promoting LGBTQ
But people who have seen the movie said that there isn't any notable LGBTQ stuff in the movie
-
So Barbie seems to have been banned in Middle East
-
Regarding the Middle East ban, people who watched the movie said that there isn't even anything related to LGBTQ stuff in the movie. So I wonder if they are banning it because of the feminist message/theme...I was looking on twitter regarding this topic and I saw some Middle Eastern posters speculating that this could have been the reason for the ban

Despite losing alot of screens it had a smaller drop than every other film in the Top 10, with the exception of SoF - which dropped 35% and added 126 theaters.
yeah...it lost 50% shows this weekend. Good hold all things considered
-
I am curios to see any early Monday numbers for Barbie in domestic market...it seems to have held amazingly in UK on Monday, just around 25-30% drop from Sunday (for context, it dropped around 30% last Monday)

Decent hold for Elemental despite losing nearly 50% of shows. I think it can reach 160M as long as it doesn't lose lot of screens

Barbie's Overseas actuals have also gone up by 5M in today's update

I understood why MI7 released on Wednesday but why is TMNT releasing mid-week on Wednesday with Tuesday premiers ? It's not like there is some holiday that day or anything
-
I thought people were definitely underestimating Barbie's potential in domestic market but I never expected it to be this big in Overseas. Especially after watching teasers & trailers, I thought the humor wouldn't work much outside US. Glad to be proven wrong though

any predictions on Elemental's OW ?

Positive response by Barbie to Discussing Film Tweets on Barbenheimer Arts are taken as insult to Victims of Atom Bombs.
I wasn't aware until Tonight is started appearing on my Twitter feed.
that really looks like quite a reach. Barbie's twitter account didn't even discuss about content of Oppenheimer movie or anything...just acknowledging the Barbenheimer meme which has pretty much been a phenom Worldwide. Does it mean entire world is insulting victims of atom bomb ? I really hope it's just a fringe group that's considering the above tweet from Barbie account as insult to atom bomb victims

That Elemental Overseas number makes me happy....Elemental's OS run has been so much fun to follow

why exactly is this person outraged about here ? Just because official Barbie twitter account tweeted that this is a summer to remember ?

it will play well in Brazil, Russia, India, Italy and Spain
India ? lol I doubt it even releases in India..even if it does, doubt it would make more than $100K in India. No one cares about these kind of Indie Hollywood movies in India
