Idk, is this movie still on target for something like 700m WW+? Don't think it's in a ton of danger of being hit with a loss. Just might not be as big as they want.
From what I have seen of the OS performance, 600M looks good. On the DOM front, if it opens to 60M, I think it'll leg it's way to 170M but let's be conservative and say 150M. That's 750M on 200M budget, a CLEAN HIT.

Finally a solo Spidey movie over 1B. It has been a long time coming but I am glad it is going to fly past 1.1B as well. Hopefully next one can do 400M+ DOM.

Disney under-estimated TLK by about 13M WW. ~550M OW WW. Looking good for atleast 1.5B WW.

No, he's played the leading man in most of his stuff except Elton John. He's not A List but he's at least B List and rising. He's not a a star but he's a recognizable name.
He's very good in the good The Bodyguard (it's on Netflix) even if the series hits the wall before the last episode and turns to crap (not his fault)
It's actually even before that after a certain character's death. It's still pretty watchable but definitely a disappointing conclusion considering it started so well. An opportunity missed.

I thought he made some type of bet that he lost and then when it was time to pay up, high tailed it out like a coward
It was Wonder Woman over 400M or Spidey1 and against @baumerI think. He would mock everyone for their predictions (You can still see it in his activity) but as soon as he realized the impossible was going to happen, he ran away.

The Lion King Has Record Growth On Saturday
The Lion King showed extraordinary growth as it collected 19 crore nett on day two. The collections are up over 70% on Saturday and this has never happened before that a film has grown 70% on Saturday which collected over 10 crore nett on the first day. It has happened for films under 10 crore nett but the lower you are then there is more chance of higher growth.
The highest growth before The Lion King was actually last week with Super 30 which made gains of around 55% and then there was Toilet Ek Prem Katha which went up 52%. This is for films collecting more than 10 crore nett on day one.
The two day collections of The Lion King are 30 crore nett and there should be further growth on Sunday with Monday telling how big this film can be, The plus for the film was that it showed huge growth in Mysore / Karnataka and Tamil Nadu which meant South had big gains. Nizam / Andhra and Kerala showed less growth. Mumbai made gains of almost 90% while Delhi / UP was up 80%.
The first two day collections of The Lion King are as follows
Friday - 11,00,00,000
Saturday - 19,00,00,000
TOTAL - 30,00,00,000 apprx
A 50 crore nett weekend should be there for the film as Sunday should go up from Saturday but the huge Saturday growth could curtail Sunday growth a little.

In the chart posted above any movie with 100M+ gross is either Disney or MCU except for SLOP2. TLK will continue that once it's SAT no.s are in.
Also Dark Phoenix only 10% down from last Friday

Looks like CATS trailer playing before TLK impacted it's gross

So so so excited for this, Thor's popularity has gone to another level after Ragnarok and Infinity War. Won't be surprised if this does ~1.5B WW.

djokovic vs federer is insane
I am heart-broken . Would have been much easier to swallow even if he had lost 3-6 in the 5th but this just sucks. I don't know how Federer will recover from this or me for that matter😰

ALADDIN had the best hold in the Top 10 once again, dipping just -25% w/ $7.6M, $320M total.

Honestly Endgame dailies being behind Infinity War is more a show of how amazing repeat viewings were for Infinity War than a slight on Endgame's legs. I don't really think they could have done a better job with the ending and is reception is definitely positive with of course some vocal detractors.
But hey at least it ain't a certain tv finale or a movie finale that has come out recently
You need to hire Sophie Turner if you want to deliver that kind of finales.

TLK is missing 3x, calling that now. Hard to imagine it being any better received than Aladdin, which is only go do around 3x, and it will for sure open higher.
Aladdin's multi will be ~3.5x.

Universal is ripping a page from the Disney Math Book. A DOG'S JOURNEY lost all but 631 theaters (-1,043 in its 4th weekend), yet still saw increases of 22% w/ $1.3M, $21M total. The double bill box office bump.

How bad is X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX's debut of $33M? GREEN HORNET ($33.5M) 10,000 BC ($35M) and THE LEGEND OF TARZAN ($38M) had better openings. Luckily for all humanity it topped HANNAH MONTANA: THE MOVIE ($32.3M)...for now.

Aladdin looking at 100M+ in Japan as well as 320M+ DOM. It's biggest day in S.Korea will be in the 3rd weekend. 850M+ WW is on IMO.
-
OS and China numbers for DP as well as CHN numbers for Godzilla.

Since the release of A:EG, none of the movies except Aladdin did more in their OW than A:EG previews. Looks set to continue this and next weekend as well. Don't know which non-Disney movie will do more except Hobbs and Shaw.

Disney live action remakes vs. Illumination...whoever wins, we lose
I don't understand this at all. If people enjoy certain movies who are we to judge them. Now, except Despicable Me 1 and 2, I don't like Illumination animations at all but you can't deny there's market for them because people/kids enjoy them, that's why they churn out such big hits. As for Disney Remakes, the kind of WOM Aladdin has is already in front of you. I thought BATB was utter shit but majority liked it, so it is what it is.

POTC 5 opened with 78M 4 Day Weekend whereas Aladdin was 116M, so ~ 1.5 times.
POTC 5 2nd Tuesday was 3.4M whereas Aladdin is 7.8M, so ~2.3 times.
POTC 5 added ~50M after it's second Tuesday, I am guessing atleast 100M for Aladdin so 300M DOM looks in good shape IMO.
SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME | 741.4 M overseas ● 1131.9 M worldwide

Iron Man 3 is the highest grossing Solo MCU movie OS with 800M+. FFH has no shot at that.
This Thanos guy won't let anyone win, he's inevitable
