theres nothing wrong with a good old Hitler comparison. any argument/point should still be true when taken to the extreme. it is a fair comparison
Somehow, the whole "once you bring in Hitler, your argument is automatically invalid" fallacy stuck.

Crazy thought, if you get to work with the love of your life making something yourselves, when you're both in control of what you're working on, you enjoy it and you make money from it... why would you stop? Good for her, I say. Even if it sucks for us people who actually consume the end product.
I totally get that.
However, would continued critical turds that also post diminishing returns not impact her A-list status, and thus, negatively affect her future clout (salary, demand for roles, industry cachet)?
Who knows? I wish her the best because I really think she is a talented funnylady.

I also feel that Ant-Man 2 and this can coexist. At this point Die Hard meets Towering Inferno starring The Rock sounds to me like a recipe for success.

I am digging this much much more than Rampage. I might be in the minority, but I feel like this could be bigger in the US than the monster film.

Why is she still doing comedies with him? I am baffled. Their last two joints were reviled by critics and did progressively less money. She should go back to Feig. Even Ghostbusters got solid reviews (even if the box office was tepid for the kind of film it was and the expectations the studio had)

I thought this had the best trailer released during the SB weekend. Can't wait!
Same here. As much as I enjoyed Solo's trailer, this one won the Superbowl Battle of the Trailers for me.

I am also "conflicted" between feeling that the way this film sugarcoated the lead character is beyond ridiculous (it's like making a film about Hitler in which he was a saintly Schindler-like savior of Jews) and being absolutely drawn to the music, the characters, and the overall aesthetic of the film itself.
I enjoyed tremendously in spite of myself.
