  1. $3M for Eternals (~€2.6M) OW. In line with our predictions
  2. Yeah, I think it will settle around 5.9-6. It was review bombed on the first day with lots of 1's. It was at 5.3 yesterday and now it's at 6.3
  3. Eternals Friday: €750K (25% below Venom 2) WoM is not that terrible compared to press reviews. In FilmAffinity (Spanish harsh version of IMDb) is at 6.2 with lots of 7's. SC is at 6.6 and BW is at 5.7
  4. ETERNALS (D-0) - 1.748 tickets sold in 4 theatres (48 showtimes) (+609 tickets sold since last update 24 hours ago) (No capacity restrictions in Madrid) Great last day. Biggest pre-sales at those 4 theaters since the pandemic started but only Venom 2 and Eternals didn't have any capacity restrictions so comps are a bit skewed Comps: 1,13x Venom 2 (€3,69M OW) 1,30x DUNE (€2,66M OW) 1,51x No Time To Die (€3,30M OW) 2,06x Shang-Chi (€3,13M OW) Don't see this reaching Venom 2 OW numbers because that was a walk-up heavy movie. I'm leaning towards that Dune comp and if WoM is not that good I can see this even doing less. Captain Marvel sold 1.064 tickets in one of those 4 theatres vs 602 tickets sold of Eternals in the same one. That comp gives Eternals €2,34M OW. EndGame comp (2.836 tickets) gives Eternals €2,55M OW. So €2,5M OW could be a great target and wait for Friday numbers to have a better picture
  5. No, it's the opposite. Madrid cinemas have no restrictions right now, only mask is mandatory. Venom 2 is the only blockbuster to be released under that circumstances
  6. Eternals sold 161.391 tickets on its OD in France (2.665 tickets in previews). It's the 8th best start of the year just behind Venom 2 (161.674 tickets). Black Widow sold 184.770 OD and Shang-Chi sold 108.161 tickets OD
  7. Eternals sold 161.391 tickets on its OD in France (2.665 tickets in previews). It's the 8th best start of the year just behind Venom 2 (161.674 tickets). Black Widow sold 184.770 OD and Shang-Chi sold 108.161 tickets OD
  8. ETERNALS (D-1) - 1.139 tickets sold in 4 theatres (48 showtimes) Not a bad number. Comps are difficult because of capacity restrictions. Only Venom 2 didn't have any and that sold 1.547 tickets on D-0. With capacity restrictions (75%), NTTD sold 818 tickets, Dune sold 965 tickets and Shang-Chi only sold 507 on D-1
  9. It started at 3.7 and now it's at 3.9 so it's rising, it's good WOM. For example, Venom 2 has 2.2 and Dune which had great WoM is at 4.3
  10. Eternals Paris 14h: 3.293 tickets sold 3rd best of the year after DUNE (4.465 tickets) and NTTD (3.932 tickets). Shang-Chi sold 2.882 tickets and Black Widow did 2.800
  11. Eternals Paris 14h: 3.293 tickets sold 3rd best of the year after DUNE (4.465 tickets) and NTTD (3.932 tickets). Shang-Chi sold 2.882 tickets and Black Widow did 2.800
  12. I will post Eternals pre-sales tonight
  13. Halloween Kills debuts at #2, The French Dispatch at #6 and Rone Gone Wrong at #7. Venom still at #1
  14. €3.35M for Venom 2, surpassing the first one (€3.13M). It becomes the biggest opener since Rise of Skywalker in 2019
  15. Amazing Saturday for Venom, it's at €2.3M in two days. Will be the biggest opener during the pandemic surpassing F9 400k people went to cinemas yesterday, biggest day of the pandemic
  16. Venom 2 smashes and grosses €1M on Friday, the best Friday for a film during the pandemic
  17. VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE (D-0) - 1.547 tickets sold in 4 theatres (40 showtimes) Best pre-sales of the pandemic at these 4 theatres but it's because in Madrid cinemas are operating at 100%. Comps are all over the place because of that. Venom 1 did €3.13M OW in 2018 so this could do €2.5M OW Comps: 1,34x NTTD (€2,92M OW) 1,14x DUNE (€2,34M OW) 1,56x BW (€2,55M OW) 1,82x SC (€2,77M OW)
  18. TOP 25 - OCTOBER 8-10 1. No Time To Die - €1.316.437 (-40%) (€4.320.881) 2. The Addams Family 2 - €944.829 (NEW) 3. Madres Paralelas - €613.000 (NEW) 4. DUNE - €459.290 (-39%) (€6.650.174) 5. Maixabel - €237.980 (-39%) (€1.750.193) 6. Las Leyes de la Frontera - €207.040 (NEW) 7. Don't Breathe 2 - €181.350 (-39%) (€1.369.469) 8. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Rings - €121.683 (-44%) (€5.498.836) 9. Paw Patrol: The Movie - €89.575 (-50%) (€2.642.250) 10. Mediterráneo - €62.326 (-57%) (€300.610) 11. TITANE - €58.253 (NEW) 12. A Todo Tren: Destino Asturias - €49.993 (-44%) (€8.329.570) 13. Cry Macho - €43.261 (-63%) (€661.530) 14. Le Sens de la Famille - €39.664 (-52%) (€641.507) 15. Medjugorje - €38.835 (-28%) (€129.007) 16. Boss Baby 2 - €27.447 (-66%) (€4.396.203) 17. Elleville Elfrid - €25.176 (-69%) (€117.777) 18. Benedetta - €21.679 (-67%) (€134.230) 19. Free Guy - €15.867 (-55%) (€2.916.404) 20. Malignant - €15.219 (-46%) (€1.837.089) 21. Space Jam 2 - €14.513 (-49%) (€4.377.040) 22: MET Opera: Boris Godunov - €13.530 (NEW) 23. D'artacan y los Tres Mosqueperros - €12.032 (-59%) (€1.145.195) 24. Grease - €7.764 (RE) (€42.077) 25. Respect - €6.798 (-75%) (€183.971) I will post Venom 2 pre-sales tonight
  19. Saturday and Sunday were fantastic for NTTD and it grosses €2.2M OW beating out Dune. Tomorrow we will have actuals. Box office is getting exciting in Spain
  20. NTTD, Dune and Maixabel did amazing on my 4 theatres yesterday. This bodes well for the Box Office here, and I think Fiesta del Cine did wonders for people to return to the multiplexes for the first time since the pandemic began
  21. NTTD grosses $643K (€560K) on Friday. €1.8M possible for the entire weekend (in line with my range)
  22. Franspeech usually does it but he didn't do it for DUNE for example, only OW numbers. Same with Taquilla España. So it's uncertain to have the breakdowns for big blockbusters OW
  23. The problem here and why I did the entire weekend is because I don't have access to ComScore or something similar to have the breakdown per day for films so it's extremely difficult to extrapolate numbers and trends only having the weekend ones
  24. NO TIME TO DIE PRE-SALES (D-0) - 1.154 tickets sold in 4 theatres (32 showtimes) (+336 tickets sold since last update 24 hours ago) Great last day, a bit less than DUNE (382 tickets) and practically the same as SC (339 tickets) Comps: 1,05x F9 (€2,94M OW) 1,16x Black Widow (€1,90M OW) 1,36x Shang-Chi (€2,07M OW) 0,86x Dune (€1,76M OW) €1,75-2M OW is a safe range but it could do more. Let's see how it behaves tomorrow because NTTD skews much older than SC and BW. Spectre did €2,7M OW and Skyfall did €3,1M OW
