    Grounded Character and emotional work over funny book shenanigans are what Stan Lee meant when he wanted to differentiate the Marvel heroes from DC. In her own movie, WW is now more flawed & cutesy than she's ever been.

    It doesn't have AQM's many money shots, but marketing seems to get the gist across as with other recent jovial street-level cbm's. EoT was still at the end of the day an obscure Tom Cruise action/scifi thing. Bumblebee was a more expensive Herbie Fully Loaded. Spider-verse was another too weird & animated Lord & Miller project.

    Saw it through filmgob. Too many similar comic movies this year. Shazam was once Captain Marvel. Dark Phoenix is also about a female super with berserker rage. Far From Home vs Shazam Hellboy is yet another dude in red.

    I only hear or read that in reference to the previous script's ambition. It was way worse back then outside of Batman with movies like that, JonahWILDWILDWESTHex & SuperSOLOman Returns.

    GL killed an adapted brand between the big & small screen + the reboot is still tbd. At least there was a GL for a couple seconds since 2011.
