  1. I can confirm, Zatt was a rock. It was his iron will that made me a believer.
  2. An announcement of the record during SDCC is unlikely but within the realm of possibility, right?
  3. We did it guys! We did it! The record is just a formality at this point, Endgame will sit on the throne! @Zatt Hawkguy Murdock I believed in you buddy and you came through with flying colors! You never lost faith, it must feel pretty sweet!
  4. As an MCU fan the only thing that matters is that the list of top-grossing movies will have Endgame at the top. Accept it or not, dispute it or not, consider it fair or unfair, it makes no difference. That's the way it will be. Endgame #1.
  5. Damn it, I actually had some pretty good results with that method.
  6. Didn't Endgame already pass Avatrar's original record, without the re-release?
  7. So Endgame's numbers are good this week, right? It seems like a small drop from last week.
  8. Wow, that's a way more thorough reply than I expected. Thank you very much! Also, Babylon 5 is a fantastic series, I'm a huge fan.
  9. So assuming that $855 million will happen, how much does Endgame need to gross overseas to take down Avatar?
  10. I have no idea why. It didn't seem realistic to me either but most people have a much better understanding of box office stuff than me so I thought I'd ask just in case. Thanks, sounds good!
  11. I see someone on Era speculating that the movie might leave US theaters on the 11th because he can't book tickets online after that date. Is that a possibility?
  12. Eh, I'll wait for the actuals. At this stage where every million counts the actual results are very important.
  13. I didn't much care for Avatar when I watched it and I love both Endgame and the MCU in general so obviously I very much want to see Endgame on top. That's not to say I don't recognize Cameron's achievement though. I don't consider success at the box office random or undeserved. Any movie that manages to draw in big crowds to the theaters is worthy of respect and that fact alone means that these movies did something right that the audience liked. So if Avatar does lose its crown to Endgame it will still be worthy of a lot of respect and admiration. Endgame though... I won't lie, there is an emotional element to my desire to see it prevail. Not that much for the movie itself or the MCU, they're both so wildly successful that a few more millions make very little difference in the grand scheme of things. But for me and I imagine for every person out there that grew up reading comics as a kid, it really feels special to see the characters and stories we grew up with becoming part of the cultural mainstream and embraced by people all over the world. It's really rather awesome.
  14. So assuming that this prediction holds, what is the weekend looking like?
  15. If I may ask, what's a conservative estimate for the difference between Endgame and Avatar after this weekend? Someone asked over on Reeetera but I don't know enough about the box office to provide a ballpark number. Over/under $15 million?
  16. Since I'm new at this I'd appreciate it if someone could answer a question. When do we typically learn about overseas numbers? Is it Monday? Not the estimates but the actual results.
