Actually I like many DC movies and don't like many MCU movies , been here for long time. I just prefer MCU in general. Anyways we don't need to make this fanboy wars thread. Shang-Chi reactions are pretty great. Now, let's see how presales and box office looks like. -

Scott Menzel calling it's best Superhero movie of 2021 , ok that's really good. I don't care much for gut but this is very promising.

Simu Liu and Awkwafina are standouts which is honestly pretty great for MCU. MCU future is very bright. Also movie is actually important to MCU lore so this will hopefully shut down the naysayers that it doesn't do anything for MCU. I am excited to watch this

Yeah. People actually praising it. I think spoiler free marketing might have helped it. But now they need to ramp up marketing. Potential is there.

Making tickets available when most of the America is asleep. The sabotage is real. Also not even a Special Look to go with ticket sale.I wonder how tracking will be. -

Mortal Kombat franchise has a very big fanbase and appeal to general audience , WB is not utilizing it the right way.

Between this and Shang-Chi two movies I will have to wait for 45 days to watch. Hopefully, Shang-Chi releases in theatre. Have not gone to theatres since GvK in April

It very likely could be GvK but Samba is the best guess we have right now. I am surprised HBO MAX is not giving data to Nielsen like they did for WW84 atleast we could have some numbers.

HBO MAX base has grown since GvK. GvK also had better box office and ended with 3x+ multiplier. Mortal Kombat budget is less than half of TSS.

Yeah pretty much , plus while movie was called very bad , it ended have nice legs after second weekend drop.

Maybe they thought Guardians of the Galaxy worked so why not ?? Reading through the development of first movie , major casting started when Guardians became a breakout hit.
