  1. SAG seemingly outright rejecting removal of the $1m cap and bottom up residuals is crazy to me, given they are trying to make acting a liveable profession for the, of lack of a better term, middle class. I know obviously it wouldn't solve all the concerns of the SAG/AMPTP negotiations as they still need to sort out better streaming residuals, I still think they should follow WGA and have a viewership/performance threshold rather than a % of subscribers/revenue, but taking the top actors proposal would likely speed up negotiations, also I disagree that it would leave them in a worse position in the future as unless I'm reading things incorrectly both of the proposals would be permanent changes to how things are done going forward rather than dependent on certain big name stars.
  2. @Eric Mouse are we including Nat Geo films as part of the Fox 2019 and onwards films? If so FYC: Will probably have a top 100 soon (likely in the next couple of days) just difficult to work out some placements.
  3. I did like the earned moments especially between Ahsoka and Sabine or Anakin (sometimes both) throughout the season and agree that was one the standouts of this season. Hopefully Season 2 does come and is fantastic and includes things I was hoping for this season as I think that would help boost this season in retrospect.
  4. A little disappointing to not get a resolution on a few things Overall after a great first 5 episodes, the final 3 were a bit weaker still some cool moments but felt like an anti-climatic ending. Hopefully season 2 or whenever these characters show up again remedy's that some and this becomes a ESB ending setting up future things similar to what @Porthos mentioned a while back.
  5. Oh I agree can't see Disney being involved in a Bluey movie was just clarifying the ownership.
  6. It's a co-distributed between ABC (in Australia) and BBC (rest of world), Disney have streaming rights through BBC aside from Australia and New Zealand.
  7. I liked it as an episode a lot but feel like the ending of the series is either going to be rushed or feel incomplete, really hope I am wrong come next week though.
  8. 😂 Gary Whitta has been a gem throughout the strike, going to miss the unhinged strike version of him but do look forward to hearing about a project he worked on pre strike that is his favourite screenplay he has written so far.
  9. Yeah they could even do a Mando Season 2 with a BoBF style end credit scene with a Thrawn will return in whatever name of show/movie. I agree I wouldn't be shocked with that either in show or after the show has finished. Also hate that my laptop is autocorrecting Thrawn to Thrown just noticed that when you quoted my post.
  10. I have been loving the show, the latest episode was not as strong as the others but episode 5 with Hayden was one of the best episodes of Star Wars TV ever for me. Hopefully it ends strong, feels like Thrown showed up way later than I would have thought going into the series so I wonder if they are saving a big battle for another season or show or movie and this is more of an intimate confrontation.
  11. On a side note it would be wise to not listen to someone whose "sources" are full of shit, we should all just wait for the offical WGA response.
  12. Bit of a cliffhanger ending but another solid episode, I feel like this episode was answering a lot of questions that were set up in Rebels, Mando Season 3 and the 2 episodes last week while providing some entertaining action and nice character interactions.
  13. Wait it seems like Lucasfilm released this number to counter Samba TV numbers, and you know what I respect it LOL. Top and bottom of the screenshot from a Deadline article, I'm personally going to try to stop linking to the trades given their position in the ongoing strikes but I'm sure it will be easy to find the article if you wished to see it.
  14. Glad they are finally giving out numbers but nothing to compare because this is the first weekly number they have provided. I do wonder if this article was released before or after Netflix gave their global top 10 (it's actually 40 but for the purpose of comparing US shows) of the week as nothing there was over 14m globally although you are comparing full seasons to 1 episode and I'm not sure when the Netflix shows released may only be partial week data (you could argue the same for Ahsoka technically as it is at least a few hours short of a full week) but still interesting even with those caveats. source for Netflix top 10: https://www.netflix.com/tudum/top10/tv Edit: To provide a little more context, only two Netflix shows (both English language) have been over 14m views since the started doing the views metric starting week ending June 18th. Depp v Heard at 16.2m week of August 14-20 and The Witcher Season 3 at 15.2m week of June 26 to July 2, both were in their launch/premiere week. The caveats I listed above in comparing Ahsoka still exist though and would have loved for them to provide one or more of Mando S3, Kenobi, Andor and Book of Boba Fett as a comparison to gauge things, it would surely be below the first 2 listed and likely above Andor but as @Porthos said above and in the tracking thread just have to wait for Nielsen data, still if Lucasfilm or other parts of Disney provide data like is in the future it is a helpful metric to have.
  15. Also the music in this was a standout a nice mix of new and old similar to Rebels.
  16. Very good start, preferred the first episode to the second but looking forward to the next 6 weeks of episodes. Also felt like there was a few callbacks to TPM which well I didn't love that movie I strangely got a bit nostalgic over them.
  17. Working for me, hopefully same is the case for you @Porthos ❤️
  18. I was wondering if maybe they messed up the international release, hopefully everything goes smoothly at the top of the hour.
  19. Fast X, TLM, Elemental and Ant-Man are not bombs, they are very likely to make a small profit for their companies within 12 months of release.
  20. They nailed Chopper; looks, sounds, moves, humour ... exactly like Rebels!
  21. Wednesday 1pm (12.50pm actual launch likely I imagine) is going to be a weird time for me to be watching Star Wars compared to 7pm-9pm I have grown accustomed to but I guess the American audience can get that time for a change and I will hopefully be able to watch during a lunch break if I'm working from home during those days.
