    Nevertheless, the Godzilla reboot was successful because his work sold to some extent. It was especially significant that it grossed 3 billion yen in Japan. The last Godzilla FINAL WARS (2004) earned only 1.2 billion yen. Therefore, at the earliest Toho did not expect much box-office success as a movie. Thanks to that, Shin Godzilla was made and we have the current Godzilla films.

    I don't think I have ever heard of the last episode of an animated TV series being shown in a movie theater. I think it is difficult to make a big deal out of it, especially once it has been aired on TV. However, I can't say that it is completely impossible, since recent anime sometimes have special screenings for a short period of time. For example, Delicious in Dungeon will be shown in movie theaters in December, and although it is not AoT, I think it is possible for Demon Slayer to be shown in movie theaters for the final time.

    I have seen Godzilla, the Drama part was the usual Japanese movie, but the CGI and battle scenes were quite good. If this is really as low budget as rumored, is CGI production becoming commoditized? While not Godzilla, the CGI for Onmyōji 0 also appears to be quite good. If this prediction is correct, I would not be surprised if the share of Hollywood action films in the Japanese market for the next 20 years declines further. If the story is for the Japanese, it is likely that they will prefer Japanese productions even if the CGI quality is slightly lower.

    I am still annoyed that they spend so much money on live-action films and not at all on animated films, which are their biggest earners. Why not spend 5 billion yen on an animated Dragon Ball or Slam Dunk movie?

    Yes, if you know the original, you know that the current arc is not suitable for a movie adaptation. Even when the manga was being serialized, it was said to be one of the least exciting arcs. The last chapter could be made into a movie, and in that case, it would be extremely exciting, even if not as exciting as the last movie. The box office should be quite good at that time.

    Yes, it's a children's and rather male oriented movie, so it's how much money you can make on weekends. Men cannot see it on weekdays from 9:00-17:00. However, they share seats with Conan, so it will be a very tough fight.
