    So the numbers for GxK continue to rise yet @Shawn Robbins refuses to budge on his prediction of a $35m OW and $78m total domestic gross. Doesn’t make any sense at all…

    Ghostbusters Afterlife brought back the original cast and still only managed $130 million domestically with all theaters opened and no seat reduction. I would hardly call that stronger.

    But you really think GxK will only do $35-$40 million on a major holiday weekend and with zero competition for awhile after it’s release?

    Looking at the lack of competition, the holiday weekend release and the fact alone that the MonsterVerse makes big overseas money how on earth can you come to the conclusion it’ll flop? I think it’ll be the first big Hollywood tent pole that opens internationally this year.

    Why wouldn’t it do well at the box office? It’s coming out on a holiday weekend, no competition even from Ghostbusters (the last one made only $200m WW)

    What hurt Solo was reshooting most of the movie resulting in the budget inflating. Why does GxK need a longer marketing cycle? 3 months is fine.
