Maybe our box office God Rth needed a day (or two) of rest ... to marvel at what he has done for us over the years.

Watching POTCCOTBP!
Fucking awesome movie ... even the shitty sequels can't sully my enjoyment of that film.
-
Huh? Bane intro scene! This will be extremely painful......For you.
Yeah, that's cool ... but then you spend the next half hour with shut in Bruce ... Matthew Modine talking 'hot heads' ... and the only real enjoyment is Selina Kyle until Bane goes to the stock exchange and Batman returns.

Watch it. It's entertaining. I await your live-blog of the "boring" first hour.
Couldn't that sort of describe TDKR
... okay, maybe just until Batman shows up.
I really like the film, but that first 40 to 45 minutes is kind of slow on re watch.

Nah, I bought DM,Inception,Truman show and training day on blu ray Thursday.Btw, we should all get Nikkied tonight. Very relaxing
DM - 7.5/10
TTS - 9/10
Training Day 8/10
Inception 9.5/10
Good choices.
I expect Inception will get most of your time.

surely you jest
Don't call me Shirley
... and The Hobbit is very good ... of course, I'm one of the biggest LOTR fans ever, so I'm slightly biased.

I haven't seen the hobbitAm I missing much? I have it on bluray3d
Maybe you can pass on your 100th viewing of TDKR and put the BD in and spend 2 hr 30 minutes or so with The Hobbit.
-
I thought TDKR was top 5 or 6 for me last year ... it was very good ... only really prefer Perks, Silver Linings, Argo & Django for sure over it. It's lumped with The Avengers & Skyfall for me right after.
Of course, I also loved The Hobbit and had that top 10 as well.

Man, I hope MOS doesn't end up 17.8 to 18.2 ... I couldn't take more paragraphs about it's projected path in relation to The Amazing Spider-Man.
Well, I'll probably read it anyway ikent ... but please be higher ... like over 19
Monsters is a monster if it's over 50 million this weekend.
WHD just doesn't feel big ... under 30 wouldn't be shocking at all.
The Heat ... MM has her shtick down ... wonder how long it will work for her.

Pales in comparison to the original, but I've seen this film at least a couple dozen times over the years. My uncle taped Jaws, Jaws 2 & Jaws 3 for me on a VHS in the late 80's, so that got a lot of use.
... The girl getting eaten alive in front of Shawn is just horrific ...
... that dumb bitch who can't stop screaming was always a bit annoying ... but I can understand the fear.
... and people not believing in Chief Brody ... they should all be dropped in shark infested water.
Jaws 2 is a cinematic masterpiece when watched before either Jaws 3D or Jaws: The Revenge.
Jaws 10/10 ... easily top 10 all time for me.
Jaws 2 7.5/10
Jaws 3 3/10
Jaws 4 1/10

Considering I'm one of the people who don't really give a fuck about Pacific Rim and feel it will do 140 total, I'm not too worried about it's effect outside of Imax.
MOS will find a way to 290+.
-
I feel a 5+ million Monday, and near 5 million Tuesday would about guarantee 245 by Sunday ... it would need another 60%+ drop to miss that IMO. I see closer to 50-55% drop this weekend for 18-20 million ... and 246-248 or so by Sunday.
-
I see $275m-$285m DOM.
I fail to see how it stops at 275
It will be around 245-250 by next Sunday night. ... plus the following week includes 4th of July.
If it falls short of 300, it will be by less than 10 million.
-
Last time a Pixar movie opened above 70
Yeah, but Despicable Me is going to murder it in 10 days.
High end is 300 ... likely 280 or so.
-
Despicable Me 2 trailer killed tonight in front of Monsters University and nary a trace of Lone Ranger. The minions are going to eat Depp alive.
Hopefully ... I'm beyond bored with Johnny Depp's shtick at this point. Do something interesting ... isn't he in Transcendence next year ... if so, maybe he'll be good.
-
Saw the trailer a few times-for films this Summer the ones I've seen at the most films are/were Fast 6, Lone Ranger and WHD.
Ugh, Lone Ranger is everywhere ... and I still have ZERO interest in seeing that film.
-
Im a little surprised too. Be interesting to see how wom shakes out as well, especially after those production troubles.
The trailers for WWZ have been at every movie I've seen in the last month or so ... and been seeing more and more on television.
Whether people would react and go was the question.

Well, I could go for MOS splitting the difference and getting 15
F- 15
S - 20
S - 15.5
50+ million weekend ... still on track for 300-325 (where exactly, I'm not sure)
WWZ ... if it's the high end of Rth ... damn, great marketing towards the end.
-
I'm not a big fan of PR at all, but I'd be literally floored if it misses 100 mill.
It's tracking at like 40 right now ... It would probably have to drop to an opening weekend lower than 35 for it to have any shot.
I guess I feel it still will end up opening over 45-50, so will at least get a decent domestic figure ... will have to do much damage overseas.
-
dont see even 100m happening for PR.
I figure it will, but that wouldn't be a total surprise for me.
-
I would be absolutely astonished if Pacific Rim broke 200, let alone 250.
Still predicting around135-145 domestic.

I thought anything we get from HSX is notfabio.
Nah, whitewalls posts all the btc theater stuff on that board.

Notfabio or BTC?
It's BTC

Can it possibly be #s that seem to be typed while sober?
Excellent for MU & The Heat
Good for WWZ & MOS
Pretty bad for WHD
