  1. Is 250M even in play at this point? Considering the competition next weekend will target all of STiD's audience, I think a 3x multiplier will be tough.
  2. I was only talking about his successes. Farrell's had a shit-ton of failures: Miami Vice and Alexander come to mind as the worst, but still what are Jude Law's successes with him as lead? I like Jude Law I just think Farrell's had a couple more wins
  3. I'm not so sure. Colin Farrell had Phone Booth, The Recruit, and SWAT. (with Honorable Mentions In Bruges and Seven Psychopaths which didn't make much money but were at least well received critically)
  4. Saturday Numbers 1. Peeples - 36.8 2. Silver Linings Playbook - 12.3 3. Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan - 11.2
  5. Man, if Thursday/Friday were that low and fanboy front-loaded this opening could be really bad for STiD
  6. Peeples is only playing in theaters than can seat one thousand, but don't worry all the shows are close to sold out.
  7. Hey, maybe The Internship and This is the End will attain juggernaut status and chase TH3 out of theaters
  8. Hangover III looks very iffy. But the last R-Rated comedy was Pain & Gain (a month ago), and before that it was Scary Movie 5 (two months). It's positioned well so it could do good business after all.
  9. I saw that interview with Jon Stewart and I can't believe some of the things he said. He said he always preferred Star Wars and that he only watched Star Trek when he got the job (that might not be exactly what he said, but that's what came across). And then suddenly it was his favorite show but he wanted to make it more like Star Wars so that more people who were like him would like Star Trek. That's kind of a slap in the face to that whole fan base in an attempt to appeal to the GA. But it doesn't even seemed to have worked.
  10. The character was badly written. Cumberbatch tried his best but he couldn't pull it off.
  11. STiD isn't a flop yet, it's a disappointment. Saturday numbers are needed before it can be labeled a flop. Still, Paramount is definitely not happy with this. The only other movie they have this summer is World War Z and that looks like a catastrophe.
  12. I would say that Bryan Cranston being in your movie automatically makes it better...but then I saw Total Recall.
