  1. PK - $127,860 OW (including previews)/$868,652 total (6.79 multiplier) 3 Idiots - $73,554 OW/$3,019,322 (41.05 multiplier) I'm shocked that PK did not pass 1m. I think with a better distributor or even with more theaters from UA this would have passed 1m. Regardless of that arbitrary number, both are considered to be huge successes here. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 OW projection - $1,600,000 Mockingjay Part 2 will secure the highest grossing OW of the franchise besting Catching Fire's OW of 1.38m but overall it has to be considered a slight disappointment with the screen count, 3D premium charges and lack of competition. It is up 10-22% over Part 1's OD. 2D will receive a big push this weekend with many theaters swapping 3D for 2D or giving 2D more showtimes. You know 3D is not doing well when a leading 3D theater swaps out 3D entirely for 2D on the weekend! Spectre should have no trouble passing Skyfall or 5m in 2-3 weeks time. Return of the Cuckoo has had a decent run so far and will pass 1m by this weekend. She Remembers, He Forgets is also on the train toward 1m this weekend. We'll need actuals to see if it is victorious over MI5 but it is current up 42% from Skyfall's actual. Our Times had a solid hold despite mammoth competition. Word of mouth has carried it so far and it will surpass 5m next week. Not a bad weekend for She Remembers but nothing particularly memorable about it either. Great hold for Scouts Guide. Bridge of Spies was knocked down for obvious reasons. It did pass 1m this weekend though. Spectre outlook: 5m is a lock and 6m should happen even with average word of mouth here. If it can achieve Skyfall's multiplier, then it will bank 7.25m.

HK had the best 2nd weekend hold of its current top 10 leaders last weekend. OK hold for Goosebumps. Poor for The Last Witch Hunter. Intern and Martian are both fading but both have amassed strong totals to date. HK is a top ten market with The Intern coming in at #9 ahead of France, Italy and Brazil and within 1m of UK, Russia and Germany. HK slides in at #11 with The Martian out of nearly 60 territories so it is pulling its worth here. Are You Here and Black Mass were both rejected and Mr. Holmes held nicely. First is the surcharge that has been added on in 3 years time and the longer running time. For Spectre, it is more expensive for a ticket than Skyfall's and the extra 5 minutes on Spectre decreases the number of showtimes from 6 to 5 without falling into unfavorable times (like before 9 AM) and less people will be willing to watch a longer movie on a weekday. With regard to OWs, Spectre will no doubt blow past Skyfall's 1.9m OW and secure 2m. 2.5m is very much possible as well. It could even defeat Mission Impossible 5's OW if its weekend showings sell out. Our Times seemed to hold up OK. Scouts Guide looks like it had a good hold. Not a good opening for She Remembers, He Forgets. Bridge of Spies was held back by Spectre. In my opinion, it should have gotten rid of the word 'Spies' in the title. Bad for Are You Here. #7-#11 are separated by less than 50 admissions. Friday adm. It is slightly below Mission Impossible 5's opening day pre-sales and off 20% from Skyfall's opening day pre-sales. The running time is 5 minutes longer than Skyfall's which plays a big role when it comes to scheduling and of course pre-selling. Friday will be stronger than Skyfall's opening Friday. Our Times is doing well but those that were expecting round 2 of You Are the Apple of My Eye will be disappointed. You Are the Apple of My Eye's run was a once in a lifetime performance that will be extremely hard to replicate. Regardless, things are not looking up for Our Times this weekend as Spectre will take away screens from it on Saturday/Sunday. Edit: What is wrong with my tables?!?!

Could this pull another Apple of My Eye on October 15? It has increased in admissions every weekend since previews began. Great for PK. Office is turning into a disaster. Not good for Dark Places. The Walk is taking things very slowly. It looks like there is not much interest. Transporter Refueled was the only film to increase from Thursday's pre-sales. Still a flop though. By the way, 10 different films are having sneak peeks this weekend. Ridiculous.
