Edit 2: I'm seeing some strong negative ones as well

Yeah I'm expecting something like 50-75% RT. I've enjoyed all of Scott's historical epics though except for Exodus(god that movie was stupid). Yes, even Robin Hood.

I was never a huge MCU fan(and even had plenty to say on its negative impact on the industry as a whole imo) but I could appreciate the genuine scale of excitement people had for those movies all the way up to Endgame, and yes they were objectively of much higher quality back then. Admittedly the Endgame trailer was even pretty hype with Thanos' "you could not live with your failure, where that did that bring you..." yadayada for a jaded man like myself.
This movie and OW is just a sad little whimper in comparison. MCU's fall is much more suprising than Star War's IMO because the quality of the MCU was pretty strong and consistent for a solid decade whereas SW fell off almost immediately after TFA. I mean Endgame was only 4 years ago. Lol what the hell happened?

Don't understand why it appear that critics "suddenly" realise MCU movies are actually pretty bad in general. Outside of VFX quality, I seriously don't see how MCU movies are much better when they were in Phase 1, 2 or 3 but critics or some cynics trying hard to prove Phase 4 or 5 is a step down.
Pre-endgame the MCU did feel like it had a coherent vision with more competent writing in general, now it just feels like they're throwing shit against a wall.

Hahaha, I love Ridley.
The New Yorker profile that this quote came from is an excellent read if you get the chance.
Disappointed the interviewer didn't ask him about his feelings on his age/mortality to see Ridley get all grumpy and call him a 'fucking pussy' or something

Some of these reviews are really, really good. Guardian was a 5/5.
Really gonna lmao if this surprises at the BO and beats Captain Marvel. An old school, bloody historical epic beating an MCU film in 2023...imagine that.
