Theater managers have got to be LIVID right now. This got 3-4 screens at basically any theater with over 10 screens when it might have only needed 1. Theaters cleared their house for a 30M opener
DM3 & Spidey are on the way to save the day plus you got what's left of WW.

It has a B+ CinemaScore. The same as ROTF.
Another example of Cinemascore being pointless. How many times do we have this discussion? It's a terrible gauge that doesn't tell you much of anything.

Can someone give us the train wreck gif please?

Yo @Water Bottle, how funny will it be if you end up over predicting being the most pessimistic when everyone had an idea this was going to suck?

So it's 5 day is going to be what the original did for it's three day weekend. Yikes. In the battle of fifth films of maligned franchises, I'd say this one at least domestically goes to Pirates.
Not saying very much haha.

People always panic about Wonder Woman's weekday numbers. They are always terrible according to some. Wait for the weekend to see what happens. But yeah it's obvious that Transformers hurt it and will continue to. I still don't think 25mil is out of the question.
Wonder Woman is a raving success with good word of mouth. One of the select few modern comic book movies with a 3.0 multiplier and one of the few that did it with a huge opening weekend.
This post seems like you are the one panicking lol. Yes WW has been a great run, let's hear it again please?

The key difference between "midnights" and "previews" right there. A time long gone at this point.
Midnight showings (like for me personally ROTS & TDK) are some of my fondest memories going to the movies. There was an energy to them, waiting in line knowing you'd be tired for work/school tomorrow... That was very unique when it was the first and only option to see it the night before.

TF2 made so much but was so bad. It's seriously one of the highest grossing awful movies of all time.

It's kind of astonishing that The Last Knight may be on track to make less in its first day - plus previews - than Revenge of the Fallen did from midnight showings alone eight years ago. And lo, the mighty shall fall, indeed.
These were legit midnight showings btw, not the 8-10pm crap they have today :).

Rip Paramount, let a Chinese company buy it
Viacom itself is a bit of a dumpster fire right now.

So that's a 9.5M OD without previews
That's a truly awful number. Even lower than I was expecting. -

I don't really want to get in the middle of this BUT I always try to catch one of the latest showings of the day if I know it's movie that will attract families/kids.
Ding ding, this is exactly what you do if you aren't matinee hunting.

Explain what you trying to prove dude pic Is approaching its 4 wknd killed mummy has a Pixar and t5 open simultaneously on it, is showing everything but backloaded-ness normal Sh would've dried their balls up by now
I'm not trying to prove anything honestly, it's all a matter of personal opinion anyways. Its discount Tuesday, so it was always expected to bump a decent amount.- 2

My local parks have been empty for the past few days for most of the day overall which is very unusual given summer vacation just started.
-
Last day of the major heat wave appears to be tomorrow, I'd be very surprised if we see better weekend/day holds for this upcoming stretch. No question super hot weather is a short term boom for theaters.
-
You sound so salty every single time you talk about Wonder Woman's run.
Lol guess you didn't read a couple pages before where I was defending the hold saying it was fine but whatever you say.- 1

And expecting that non of those had to go up against a movie like t5 that has Tuesday previews this is an incredible hold in my book
Lol it's not incredible, come on guys not everything associated with WW has to be amazing or incredible etc etc.

one silver lining here, the crowd for TF5 spreading across 5 days could help WW to have lesser pressure than usual in this coming weekend, leading to another awesome hold
Saying this again, it may have an effect but it may not given the last weekend in June (that doesn't intersect with the 4th) is historically pretty slow.

I like Lauren Duca in general but she is a bit of a shit disturber.

Did those viral yet unreliable articles about Gal Gadot's salary...affect WW's box office?
I'm confused why this premise is an actual thing. People aren't going to see WW because Gadot was falsely rumored to have made millions less than Cavill? It makes no sense.
