Multiple new castings usually indicate significant reshoots... too bad. Hope there might be different cuts of the movie available on home video! But I somehow doubt it...
but they are not reshoots if you never stop filming 😉 , usually they do reshoots after test screenings to fix things

Those movies have such a long production period, sir Ridley would've filmed at least 3 movies while Tom shoots a single MI flick.
good thing for Hoult dropping out

Ok but putting Fandango polls aside, is there any palpable buzz, hype, or even negativity from people? Even here, a box office forum, the most attention this film has gotten in past few months is making fun of Helen Hunt’s career.
she had a good career , she is ancient by Hollywood standards, once you reach a certain age unless you are Helen Mirren or Meryl Streep your career is over

Radio Silence are really lucky when it comes to critics.
Ready Or Not is a 7/10. Scream 5 is a 6/10. Scream 6 is a 2/10. Abigail is a 4/10.sort of agree, though Scream 6 should not be that low, Ready Or Not is carried by Samara Weaving , MB is not a strong lead

above the line. director and producer fees? I'm sure cast got paid a decent amount too. and then days. plus, days = money. all those fights and stunts take days
Asteroid City is loaded with real a-list talent and smaller budget , sure almost all working for scale, but who in the cast besides dan Stevens or melissa barrera getting paid

how does a movie with 1 location , no expensive stars have a 28m budget , they didn't build the mansion . money laundering ?

People were kinder to Abigail than it deserved.
it wasn't bad, just unremarkable , given reviews i expected better

So what exactly is the best case scenario for Paramount at this point?
i assume acquired by Skydance that will operate it like a movie studio and maybe sell off tv assets , being swallowed by another movie studio is the worst case scenario

I'm surprised anyone thinks this looks good, it looks so dumb with over the top action, it has decent actors that can maybe sell it , but looks easily forgettable

this coming out soon since JM not going to prison? Disney can't bury it. Come on Monkey Paw!

Isn't a C pretty average for a horror
its well reviewed cause its good , not arthouse horror , trailers did not sell something else, should have been a 'B" or higher

Hunter Schafer is quickly becoming a genre queen. The fact Euphoria is likely never returning at this point after too many off-camera setbacks doesn't seem like it's negatively impacting (and is perhaps serving as a plus to) the careers of the stars.
Euphoria will comeback to wrap up stuff, maybe not how people want it to though , i will be surprised if it resembles a traditional season of television

I'm going to assume the choice to make the traditional Surfer's wife into the Surfer might just be to add some diversity to the cast, since the Fantastic Four is kind of a sausage fest. I don't think that has anything to do with Pedro being Reed though. That choice is likely because he is a popular and highly capable leading man who can pull off a fatherly aura effortlessly whenever they decide to bring the Richards kids in.
As for this Surfer choice, while I am perfectly willing to go in with an open mind, I am pretty disappointed we're not getting Norrin Radd, as I feel the character has never been done true justice on film so far. Making his lover the Surfer instead comes across as weird to me, especially since apparently she was only ever in the role in one panel in an alternate universe story.
Granted, the movie is all but confirmed to take place outside of the proper Marvel universe, and that Surfer mention could just be speculation on Deadline's end. But if she is actually the Surfer and gets all the elements associated with that, then that'd make Norrin a lot less special, and it'd probably make a lot more sense to just make Garner the main Surfer of the MCU to avoid audience confusion. We'll just have to wait and see, I suppose.
On a side note, this is a decent indication that Mila Kunis really was considered for The Thing at some point. I also wouldn't be surprised if they give Wolverine the similar treatment and start off with his daughter Laura instead, in order to differentiate and distance themselves from the overwhelming presence of Hugh Jackman's Logan.
we will see how this goes, F4ntatic had good actors too , script and execution always been the problem

No matter how they cast Doom, some segment will not be happy! 😁
Didn't Feige want Adam Driver for the role ? Maybe get Jake Lloyd?

Marvel going back to mostly white cast again seems interesting

Under The Silverlake is underrated

Tom needs to stop making mi movies , he is probably beating his eyes wide shut record for days in production

i hope Paramount doesn't release a trailer publicly from cinemacon , playing a trailer a year in advance killed a lot of hype for the last MI.
