  1. Definitely. I need to rewatch it, I'm sure I missed some small subtle details. How do you rate it among Bong's movies? I still think The Host is his best (it'll be hard for him to top that) I'll rate this about on par with Memories of Murder, maybe slightly below, but we'll see if it improves upon rewatch. Bong's movies always give me a melancholic feelings after watching them for some reasons.
  2. Also, I hope to see Chris in more movies like this. He was great and nailed that dialogue. With different roles in the past and this one, he certainly showed (to me at least) that he has range. I love him as Steve Rogers, but I'm also glad that role open doors for him, so I wouldn't mind if he won't extend his time as Cap once the contract ends, in fact, would be great if he does more roles in smaller movies like this instead.
  3. No praise for Jodie Foster's accent? For shame, Pink.
  4. Well, for what it's worth, nothing and no one in Snowpiercer approaches the masterful level of Sharlto Copley. Tilda Swinton comes pretty close, but still, no cigars.
  5. I love love love it  :wub:The long drive (not that I was doing any of the driving, thanks to dear boyfriend) was well worth it. Dallas also had very good food, which is a bonus.I might be biased, but fuck it, who cares? This film is awesome, and Bong Joon Ho is one of the best directors working at the moment. I can see what Chris Evans meant when he was describing Bong's style of filming. The movie is tight and well-edited. Good to great acting performances all around. It doesn't waste time on unnecessary expositions, go right to it but also manage to be symbolic and subtle when it needs to. Action scenes and humors are definitely Bong's and cause of that, I'm glad I got to see his complete cut. It's everything Elysium wishes to be. And for its budget, the movie had some impressive set designs, more so than many expensive blockbusters.I hope it'll expand to even more theaters in the near future cause I hope to see it again soon.
  6. So for us, watching movies with significant others is like trial/testing time. Congratulations. I'm sure your wife is wonderful.
  7. Ok, if we're being honest: 1. Can't say. I swore to secrecy. 2. His sister's bedroom. That counts?
  8. Maybe sex talk will be what rescues us from the dullness, slowness of this weekend thread. If that's the case, then so be it.
  9. :lol:Now I wanna try this with my bf. Not that our sex life needs spicing up, but the idea of shit movie-inducing sex sounds like an exciting one. I mean, shit movies gotta be somewhere on the 'Top reasons to have sex' list.
  10. One of the best pure fun blockbusters, action adventures ever. The acting, chemistry, humor, action, etc... Everything just click right for me. A
  11. Looks like since taking the role of Cap, Chris Evans filmography and RT average really improve. He has wisen up. Before that it's mostly just shitty movies, even though he's good in them.
  12. Awesome! So Spaghetti seal of approval as well. I have a feeling I'll really love this. Sounds like the direction is definitely Bong. How are the acting performances, Sphaghetti?
  13. Don't old people worry about dying so they watch their diets, eating all healthy and stuff?
  14. Hey, don't die. You gotta watch the movie first, and come back here to tell us what you think. And then you can die if you wish so
  15. for hence is one of the epic highlight. Thanks dash :)And I agree with your previous post. Bong has a stellar filmography, he hasn't done a bad movie yet. And looks like this one has the dash seal of approval, so all the better. I'm excited. I want to see it so bad. I will probably pester my bf to drive me to Dallas to see it, lol.
