terrestrial
As you might already be aware about, I started - with permission - to add calendar entries for film awards, festivals, and related conventions (to see at the forums overview / starting side under the calendar there, ~ together with the birthdays) I'll add to each entry a link to the matching thread (e.g. Cannes) or - in this case for the 'thread-less' festivals - to a general thread. The list of entries I already did is in the 'Dates for Upcomming Awards & Festivals' to find http://forums.boxofficetheory.com/index.php?/topic/17720-dates-for-upcomming-awards-festivals/ I list(ed) for now the internationally 'important' ones (like FIAPF accredited or biggest in world for a specialised genre/theme). The U.S. gets some more. I am not finished. If someone thinks I should add calendar entries, let me know. If I made a mistake or you think I should add more details..., do something in another way, please let me know here in the threads and - if possible - not via comments. Maybe this helps a few people to meet at one of those? Or to find their new most beloved movie? Remember in time about them? Meant to discuss all film related festivals, including festivals I did not list. Actual example for an upcomming event entry: http://forums.boxofficetheory.com/index.php?/calendar/event/42-12th-truefalse-film-festival/ (huh, the general 1-star giver seems already have found it too ) Edited March 4, 2015 by terrestrial
AniNate
I've been volunteering at the Cleveland International Film Festival for the past week or so. Pretty fun, plus I get free food and movies. In general the selections are pretty hit/miss, though the film I saw last night ("Still") was terrific.

Anything included there you'll guess about might becoming a festival's favourite in general? Do you think it is important enough / big enough to get added to the film festival list? In the long run I'll add for all on that list also calemdar entries, for now I'm doing a not-forum related project.
AniNate
Their biggest draw is their short film exhibitions; they've shown a couple that have ended up winning the Oscar. Their features and documentaries tend to be of obscure pedigree and with an international focus, and don't normally get much Oscar attention. Right now, however, it is in USA Today's running for Best American Film Festival (though the omission of New York and AFI makes me question its authenticity) Edited March 28, 2015 by tribefan695

Including the tidbit about the excluding of .... I'll add them to the list. I use the list also as a kind of reference for the future calendar entries and such, means it's important to me to add also ~ important / respected enough events that already happened earlier in 2015. I do try not to overstuffing the calendar too, as the (international) festivals often overlap
