Liked the style of the film and Kristen Wiig was terrific, but regardless of whether or not it depicts how teenage girls "really" think, I did not find Minnie to be a particularly likable or relatable character and the film's moral uplift at the end felt unearned. Bel Powley also needs to work on her American accent. I found out she was British only because it kept slipping out in the film and it was incredibly distracting.

 

It's decently entertaining as a watch, but as far as quirky indies go it's pretty disposable.

I have only watched the trailer of this movie but have not watched this movie. My friend watched this movie in the theater and he love this movie.
