This I do remember a bit more than Pretty in Pink which was pretty similar except I think it was the boy was from the wrong side of the tracks as opposed to the girl in PiP

Another fantastic film from Hughes. Stoltz and Thompson are pitch perfect but my fave character is the one played by a young Elias Koteas. He was the Skinhead in the film and one of my fave parts is when he shows up to the party at the end to help out Stoltz against the rich pricks. While not laugh out loud funny like some of Hughes other work, it's a brilliant look at young love and a clash of status in high school.8.5/10
