Max Peril is a dull indie movie with maybe a couple good laughs. Unfortunately, it follows everything generically and celebrates idiocy in a very uninspired way. Some of the sequences are cute, but when marred with a forced romance subplot and obnoxious film jokes, who cares? Max Peril is dumb - nay, anti-intellectual - and fails at being a parody or satire on the basest level. D-
