eXistenZ gets points just for being original. Unfortunately, its originality is frequently dull at long stretches. Jennifer Jason Leigh is charming, but Jude Law is pretty bad, sounding like a less stupid Zoolander throughout the entire film. It's funny because his character sometimes is incredibly dumb, and it doesn't fit the movie that well. The twisting plot is more annoying than funny, but I'll admit the ending came off to me better in this than in the script. However, the final minute of it made me remember why I wasn't a fan of the script either. eXistenZ is an interesting film, but definitely not a good one. C-
