SLAM!
It'll be the only category I cover tonight, but I'm gonna reveal... Best Comedy Feature Nominee #1: Spoiler Nominee #2: Spoiler Nominee #3: Spoiler Nominee #4: Spoiler And my winner... Spoiler The Disaster Artist is a heartfelt film about friendship between two misfits in Hollywood, told with great writing and a moving sense of empathy. It delivers on its laughs big-time, which is why I've chosen it as my favorite comedy of the year. (Lady Bird would've won if I thought it was comedic; witty, yes, but to me, it didn't feel too funny.)
Avatree
Logan Lucky is great fun. Really liked Disaster Artist, though I don't really think of it as a comedy per se. haven't seen the others
SLAM!
And now, for... Best Sound Nominee #1: Spoiler Nominee #2: Spoiler Nominee #3: Spoiler Nominee #4: Spoiler And the winner is: Spoiler In the other film that I nominated here, Sound Effects were simply complementary, though they were undoubtedly great throughout their runtimes. But in Baby Driver, the sound is absolutely vital to the fresh, innovative experience of the film; it is expertly mixed and superbly edited, and it is definitely deserving of a win for this category.

That was intentional; I wanted to choose pictures that would invoke the sounds from the films and I think the pictures themselves represent their corresponding films more than their titles do.
