Here is a girl who got left on the wedding altar by a county music rockstar. She was a church girl and it was a country teen wedding. He left town and pursued his career while the town supported her secret child. It is crazy how a town can be an organism like that with a church at its center. Hundreds of kids brought up together in a boot camp school structure from ages 4-19. He is singing about whiskey eight years later and goes back to town. He finds the bride he left, and she is working at a flower shop with a seven-year-old child hanging around. He discovers the girl was his daughter all along, and the mother seems unfazed by not contacting him about it. The daughter is a sharp kid who learns words at a young age, so she can get what she wants with persuasion. She nurses her stuffed animals, wraps herself in a blanket, and maybe thinks she is an egg about to be hatched. The romance is played out like the woman is slowly handing herself over to the man. She held onto her fairy tale childhood through high school and kept it with her daughter and the grief, remaining unfooled by fame, video games, almost like how celebrity parents slowly spiritually move around. She just lives with her secret daughter and works at the flower shop. She makes the romance with him seem very difficult by feeding hope of the burden of sharing herself with him and showing him her life. It’s like your heart is pounding and in love, are you ready for this assignment? It seemed so dreamlike. Like Bill Pullman’s ID4 speech.
