  1. Problem is that you already know what's going to happen. Younger folks who don't even know what King looks like love this movie. Everyone is talking about it.
  2. I'm the dude laughing my ass off at you while Rogue One makes history and smashes box office records, and is both a commercial AND a critical success.
  3. Lol at "amazing" film. Arent you the same genius that hates Rogue One? A far far superior film.
  4. I think it will be a photo finish and fun to track. I had RO getting 540 minimum after seeing that opening weekend but i didn't account for how strong the competition ended up being. When you're at these stratospheric box office levels, you need every demographic you can get. Every little bite from Hidden Figures, LLL, Sing, and the upcoming Split and even Dogs will drag down its momentum.
  5. Uuh, what? His movies are average. Not terrible, but nothing great either. Serviceable is the best word to describe his movies. I havent seen PD yet though.
  6. lulz. More haters lining up for Rogue One to bytchslap them. 545 domestic, 545 offshore. 6th greatest box office smash hit of all time.
  7. For me, pirating makes no difference to how i spend my money on movies. I'll see movies i want to see in theaters regardless of whether there's a copy online. As for the rest, i would never pay for them via theater or dvd or digital download, even if online copies were unavailable, so the movie industry isn't losing a single cent from me.
  8. Boxofficemojo had an interesting take regarding the potential negative impact of NFL/College football bowl games on this holiday weekend. Maybe the combination of New Years Eve plus football fans (primarily male) staying at home hurts Rogue One more than expected? Funny though that despite bringing this up, the site still projects 60 million for the 3 day weekend. In the long run, it won't matter. Nothing will stop Rogue One from hitting 540 million plus.
  9. I don't understand the point you are making in this entire thread. Almost everyone predicted a 4 day total between 90-110 million, with the veterans on here predicting a 95-100 million total. This is exactly what appears to have happened (97 million). This means that the total domestic cume at the end of Monday will be 317 ish million or so. By the end of Monday next week, Jan 2, most are predicting somewhere in the low 400 million, say 425 million. In January, it's gonna blow past $500 million, and then topple Dark Knight's 535 million sometime in February. It will become the 6th highest grossing film of all time. What is there to quibble about anymore?
  10. lulz. You're just as bad as MovieMan89. Face it bruh, Rogue One is a motherfu**ing badass of a juggernaut. It's gonna destroy every other movie in human history aside from FIVE. I predicted 540 million at minimum and it's right on course for that. It's "peers" are Dark Knight below and Avengers above. And contrary to the popular opinion of your equally ignorant brother in arms, Rogue One is and always will be....an event.
  11. lmao at the stunning level of ignorance. This hater gon be mighty pissed when Rogue One obliterates 500 million and becomes the 5th biggest movie of all time.
  12. Nice way to cherrypick the facts. You also predicted a laughable 58 million for FRI-SUN, genius. lol
  13. Not obsessed. Just a big fan! lmao. You were the source of countless LOL moments for me as i read your dire predictions for Frozen, and then laughed as you squirmed uncomfortably, moving the goalposts higher and higher as Frozen obliterated every "ceiling", and becoming increasingly defensive. So yea, actually i am a little obsessed in the sense that i want you to KEEP POSTING YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT MOVIES so i don't waste my hard earned cash watching movies you recommend...it costs $20 per person to see a movie these days if you factor in the Instant Diabetes sized soft drinks and popcorn barrels. Too much! ETA: just now, you convinced me to see Rogue One tomorrow instead of Manchester so you've ALREADY saved me from wasting $20. Moar opinions please.
