Stallone in Rocky back in 76 was just incredible acting on his part. Unfortunately I don't believe he did much for his reputation after that with all the action movies. He didn't really need to display much acting chops in stuff like Rambo. Although I do believe he is a very talented guy that gets too much shit as a "meathead". I actually find him to be a really smart and talented man based on his interviews and the simple fact that he essentially single handedly made Rocky what it was from writing to starring and a helping hand in directing.

Stallone was awesome as Rambo, especially in First Blood. If the asshole in The Actor could win best actor for that performance, then Stallone's performance in First Blood should have been recognized too. I'm not suggesting that he had a better performance than Ben Kingsley did in Ghandi, but neither did the French dude than Clooney.
