House of Cards didn't deserve a nomination for season 2 either.

Really I would have liked to have seen Hannibal nominated over Downton.

She will write another book (or film) in about ten years.
That's my guess. After the OT actors were brought back to Star Wars 30 years later... nothing would surprise me now.

It better. The final season was so on point and each episode outdid the previous one. It was an amazing and ridiculous stretch of quality - no other show came close last year. The current GOT season (the one which ended 3 weeks ago) is probably the closest one to that stretch of quality. Unfortunately, the GOT season nominated is from last year.
No, season 4 of Game of Thrones vs Breaking Bad season 5.2
This years Thrones vs last years BB.

No nomination for Tatiana Maslany is fucking absurd. What does she have to do to be nominated?
Glad for Headey.
Game of Thrones leads with 19 nominations, but the fact that Breaking Bad was nominated twice for writing is the clue I think.
Looks like Breaking Bad will win Best Drama again.

Officially renewed for season 3.

I watched the 2014 THR drama showrunner roundtable last night. Pizzolatto mentioned that he gave McConaughey and Harrelson box sets of Deadwood and The Wire to watch in preparation for True Detective.Thought that was interesting.

He directed 'Confessions' which was a pretty strong episode of Breaking Bad. So Slovis and Nutter replace Graves. Slovis is directing episodes 1 & 2, and Nutter said he's directing episodes 9 & 10. You would have to think Michelle MacLaren would be back after signing on with HBO...Also, I wonder if they might bring back Tim Van Patten since Boardwalk Empire is ending.

I know it's not Lost. That exactly why he's attracted to the project. He knows most people hate his crappy lost ending so he sought out a project where he didn't have to provide one. Prometheus was the same. They were even advertising the blu ray by saying it would answer questions about the film and it didn't.
-
That's why he's attracted to that show. He doesn't have to provide an answer because most people hate it when he tries. He's got this thing going on where his mother was religious and his father was an atheist and everything he does seems to mix these two things together without offering any kind of resolution or answer. Either he can't make his mind up or he's too frightened to upset half his audience with an answer. It grows tiresome. HeWell, first of all, I disagree entirely. But secondly, eh premise of this show isn't tied into any mystery about what happened. Basically, the Rapture happened. So why try to tie it into some big reveal when that's basically not the point of the show? We're you bothered that CHILDREN OF MEN basically didn't explain why no children are being born anymore? This is the same thing.

Lindelof 'asks questions' and leaves things ambiguous because he doesn't have the balls to wrap things up in a definitive way. The reason is for that is because he doesn't know how to do it. He does it to hide the fact that he's a shit storyteller who wouldn't have a clue where anything is going. Why should it be explained?
-
Lindelof has already pretty much admitted that the event the show is based around won't be explained. He's just taking the audience on a ride to nowhere. Won't even waste my time watching the first episode.

Love how they didn't even bother to make it like 100.1M.100.0. How fudgetastical.

Doing a rewatch of season 2 and I'm rolling my eyes through most of it. Really doesn't hold up on second viewing.

Who are you asking? How many summer movies have you watched?

I don't think a Transformers film can have bad wom. It's just explosions and banging and shit. Michael Bay will provide that every time. There's no real way you can disappoint most of that audience.

Early reviews for Dawn of the Planet of The Apes bode well for Avatar 2 as it will have two of the same writers. Unconvinced by the writer for the fourth though. Seems like a dodgy choice.

Waiting for today's numbers to go up by 5 million again...

If Fairley isn't lying about Stoneheart not appearing in the show, I won't be too bothered by it. I don't like it when dead characters are brought back to life. Didn't like the Beric Dondarrion stuff either. It just cheapens death. TV shows and so on have done this sort of thing too often. If you do it even once, there's a question mark hanging over every death that follows.

Writers haven't made things easy for themselves moving forward.
That guy had better be a damn good actor, otherwise this male clones thing won't work. That was my first thought at the end.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLWhat if Transformers 4 is, you know, really good and gets over 85% on RT? I mean, stranger things have happened. Of course, based on the TF franchise, the odds aren't great, especially since the writing, directing and producing team have not changed at all from the previou movies.

In projecting my hate from basically every animated film I've ever seen, including the first HTTYD movie. You haven't even seen the film so why be happy? Ugh. So annoying that you're projecting your hate for Frozen onto Dragons.
