Surprised no Furiosa tickets in the US yet frankly

Can't say they were wrong on this

The embargo is a bit tight but usually you can sense when a studio is trying to hide a real stinker (COUGHBORDERLANDSCOUGH) and I don't get that vibe from this

Clone Wars is not comparable. Completely different circumstances. It's also, again, not anime.

The truth is anime films are carried very very heavily by Japan itself. The biggest ww anime film, Spirited Away, only made 10 million domestic. And while the LOTR films did the 60-90 range when they first came out in Japan, the Hobbit movies only did 13-19. So a format with a weak domestic track record and a franchise who's region that format does best in hasn't been nearly as strong.

Snippet from the IMAX version of the trailer (which based on this I'm assuming is also the Green band)

they should scrap it and make Spider-Man 98 instead
That would be very stupid, which is why they aren't doing it.

I tried to look up any previous quote about the movie and the closest quote I can find to indicate Drivers character having literal fucking superpowers is a comment about how "coppola is using the type of visuals usually in superhero blockbusters" but I thought that was just like the technological side, the Volume/green screen etc with a big budget not that the movie involved TIME TRAVEL

How's tracking doing in the places where tickets are on sale?

I'll admit "architect vs mayor and the architect can...stop time?" Isn't the easiest pitch to audiences. I think it'll do great with critics but I don't see a ton of wide appeal

I mean, I'd imagine it would feel similar to The Tick series on Prime. Now, I loved that short lived series but there isn't really a wide audience for it.
I mean the issue there is what even you do. Even if Reynolds takes a pay cut do you even have enough money for the makeup?

I can kinda see where distributors are coming from in not really knowing how to sell this premise

They're filming Avengers in early 2025, so if they're back to back X Men comes out after. It's likely the first movie after Secret Wars.

Fury Roads strength came in legging it out.

Who's that?
It's from Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Marvels next animated project. That's Peter, May, and Norman Osborn.
Though apparently in the rest of Espositos quote he indicated it was an original character created for whatever it is.

It's not that crazy. Some promo stuff is baked in for a specific time. The movie was supposed to be coming out this weekend, and that's when they made the deal for this tie in.

A good possibility...but...

He's said before he wants to be a good guy like Xavier...hmmm

I was bummed at the idea of a 30s range, 25...fuck.

She-Hulk had a trailer at upfronts in 2022, and 2023 covered the live action shows, so a public Agatha trailer next week seems very plausible...so they have in the bank
Agatha (almost definitely will be there)
Daredevil Born Again (if Echo in 2023s any indication maybe a date, possibly for this year)
The animated slate is a question mark though...What If wasn't there last year, but 97s success and Eyes of Wakanda having Coogler may make their 2024 animation slate more of a focus.
Ironheart isnt till next year so it's probably not gonna be there but Wonder Mans kind of unclear, but id guess the same for it too.
