a Fox Men movie with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman being huge does not mean Captain America 4 and Thunderbolts won’t bomb
You do realize Fox no longer exists and the same studio is making all three of those movies, right

Ant-Man 3 literally marked the collapse of the MCU.
You've never, not once, been able to explain what makes Quantumania and The Marvels "the new normal" and not outliers. Especially with your incessantly annoying stuff about Guardians 3 opening under 100 million, a thing that literally did not happen

Saying "Deadpool 3 won't be a success but even if it is it doesn't count" is absolutely moving goalposts. Give me a fucking break.

Marvel may want to wait til after secret wars but they may be getting pressure from higher ups to do it sooner.
If theyre doing 5 and 6 back to back it might still come out after. Like FFH after Endgame.

This may well be the biggest r rated movie of all time and marvel will still be dead.
The strength of the brand is determined by how much it can bolster movies people otherwise wouldn’t see heavily, not by how 3rd entries of pre-existing strong trilogies perform.
Oh please, talk about moving goalposts

Production Weekly has some updates on filming;
Avengers 5 Q1 2025 in UK, Code Name Apple Pie 1
Armor Wars 2025
Shang-Chi 2 March 2025 in the UK
X-Men Q4 2025 in UK (there's also a "synopsis" but it's the most boilerplate X-Men description you can imagine)
Spider-Man 4 filming September in the UK, with a release date reported as July 10th 2026, so maybe Blade is spared yet another delay
On the show side, Vision Quest October 2024 in the UK, (with Olsen being listed as a cast member apparently?)
It sounds like these are all bookings for specifically the UK which is why Daredevil filming in November isn't on here. Though it does sound like Wonder Man has indeed wrapped.

It's not making 1.074B. Maybe 2 years ago, but not now.
Yes we all know you think it won't make 100 OW because Guardians almost didn't for some reason

This is gonna probably be the biggest r rated movie of all time and people will still say Marvel is dead

I mean, she could be in the movie or whatever. But I don't think Swift had Deadpool in mind when she was writing the lyrics for a song made for 15 yr old girls.
I mean if you heard Out of Ashes without context you'd never guess it was for Deadpool 2

There also, literally, aren't new Avengers yet. We don't know who the team is going to be. There are some very reasonable guesses, but nobody has been cast in Avengers 5 or 6 yet.

That is absolutely Diamondback in the bottom left.

Not...super sold on this

Just because there aren’t any blockbusters coming out doesn’t mean theaters are dead. These mid budget films are actually keeping them alive.
I dunno if Boy Kills World is what's keeping theaters alive. It keeps them in operation between blockbusters but the big ticket items are absolutely what keep the lights on
-
That's good because the way they talked about it it kind of sounded like it was specifically a prequel to the Michael Bay movies

Wasn't the Black Panther album bigger than Guardians?
Nope. In the US the Guardians 1 soundtrack went triple platinum.

My biggest worry is that this is animated in a way that isn't stylized and is just like how the Lion King movie is, where it's basically live action realism. Go nuts with this

Taylor Swift will add no more than $5m at best if she has an original song for the film...otherwise, you're in a whole different universe if you think she can add 100x that or that she "can be the kingmaker in the elections."
Ugh, celebrity worship is ludicrous.
Well it'd be probably their biggest soundtrack hit since the first Guardians for one

Maybe a new trailer next week, assuming the next one is timed for apes (Green band for Apes, red band for Fall Guy seems likely)

Yeah, a cameo alone won't move the needle much. Maybe online buzz, which can help, but direct box office is unlikely
Unless it's an original song. That could actually get Swiftie turnout

Once upon a time a well written Marvel film set in the MCU was more than enough boost and benefit said film needed...
To one billion plus? No

People wanting Batman in this franchise need to be careful what they wish for. Todd gonna make all those smartass Twitter jokes come true by depicting Bruce as a super narcissistic Elon Musk type who goes one step further to uphold the oppressive structure by running around beating up the impoverished and mentally ill
Oh I think any Batman that appears in this won't show Bruce at all. Like it'll be him only as Batman

If Taylor Swift is in this shit, this shit is guaranteed to be have least 1.5 billion.
Idk how much a cameo alone moves that needle.
Now if she's doing a song like Celine Dion did the last one...

I feel like cinematic universes have broken peoples brains.
not everything needs a crossover - in fact Jokers very success highlights this.
I do think it needing to be Reeves is dumb but at 200 dollars a pop you bet your ass WB is going to want a Batman in the third one

I think a Disney animated movie being a musical is pretty much a given.
It is ostensibly considered live action

Like I guessed, the first one is the Deadpool focused one and this is the Wolverine focused one.
