  1. The Muppets has been huge the last couple of days at my cinema. The Artist has also gone up loads since the BAFTA win.
  2. Muppets was very good at my cinema yesterday after a quiet start on Friday
  3. it is a good opening, but you also have to remember it's a 5 day opening.
  4. on Wednesday Descendants was number 1 with £446k, Chronicle number 2 with £397k
  5. how do people think The Hunger Games will do over here?
  6. The Vow is a romantic drama out on the 10th.i think its more fox not wanting to release so many of their own films at the same time
  7. it's definitely being pushed back but they are still doing the previews on valentines day. i had an email from fox about it the other day
  8. my two screener was offered a print of Decendants on release but we couldn't fit it in so have taken it second week.i say print when of course it's actually a hard drive now!
  9. War Horse has had a tiny drop at my cinema. Like 7% or something.
  10. Yeah i heard that Disney cut back on 35mm copies due to cost (very long film means it costs more to print)
  11. I'm surprised War Horse only opened with £3.9m. I suppose my cinema just overperformed on it
  12. J. Edgar, Underworld, The Sitter and W.E. are the main ones.
  13. it's a bit hard to tell because we always do better than normal on this type of release. last night it did more than double the business Iron Lady did on it's first Friday though so I would think £5m would be a good target and I think it will have a long run.
  14. I think War Horse is going to be massive. We've got loads of advance bookings here.
  15. muppets will be big. i can't see journey 2 or ghost rider 2 doing anything at all. they are the very definition of sequels no one asked for. journey 2 doesn't even have the same cast as the first!
  16. about £600,000 from 100 prints. it's still in limited release. goes wide next week.
  17. good start for Iron Lady here tonight :)it's actually opened bigger than The King's Speech did but i doubt it will have anywhere near the staying power.
  18. arthur is up to £20.322mFriday's figures:MI4 - £1.192mSherlock - £1.185mcumes: Sherlock ~£14.7m. MI4 ~£6.7m. Dragon Tattoo ~£3.4m
  19. Sherlock is outperforming MI4 at my cinema. Both are doing well though. Arthur Christmas hasn't dropped as much as I thought it would.
  20. hardly any distributors are working at the moment. our film booker can't get hold of anyone to get the figures off.
  21. we didn't open yesterday but this afternoon was quite quiet at my cinema.loads of bookings for sherlock and MI4 tonight though (more for sherlock than MI4!)
  22. yesterday was better than saturday at my cinema and today is doing even better. we're expecting next week to be massive. i just hope mission impossible doesn't underperform.
  23. At my cinema we're usually pretty busy on Christmas Eve. We already have a lot of pre-bookings for Arthur Christmas. We close at about 5pm though so there's no evening business.
