Just a gentle reminder, guys: enjoy the last glorious derailment of numbers threads. We'll be responsible/ruthless again after the transition.
Christ, President Snow! We get it!

I'll definitely catch it on DVD - by the time I actively sough it out it'd left theaters. The trailer looked like pulp heaven.
It took Dan Stevens leaving Dowton Abbey for him to get all sorts of drool worthy.
I've decided to see NATM 3 because he looks gorgeous as Lancelot.

Ethan ain't about that sarcasm
Chewy, I have to ask… did you actually go "beat your street ass?" Inquiring minds….

Maybe it's just me, but… I honestly just think it was splitting the movies up into two parts that killed the momentum and WOM.
I expect to see all these franchises who were breaking up their movies into multiple final chapters to change their tunes very soon. Marvel changing IW and giving both Avengers 3 and 4 distinct titles now. Tell one cohesive story in a movie, don't go breaking it up into two parts needlessly.
Can I ask… was it really Harry Potter that started this finale trend? Because it's so not good. Though DH1 was my favorite of all the Potter movies for some reason.

Wow at that MJ1 number.
And BH6… I just ordered the Baymax plush for my son. Damn thing's been sold out for a couple of weeks and they're taking orders on it to be delivered before Christmas.
Baymax = Groot! Both have completely made the moviegoing year for me.

I think it's something about Christian Bale in Newsies

Ran my first half marathon this morning and crushed it, 1:38 finish time.
Seriously? I am JELLY!!!
I ran my first half last week, 2:42:11. Though I'm 36 yrs. old and it was the Avengers Half at Disneyland, which meant stopping a lot for pictures and meeting the superheroes. Got some great pics with Cap, BW, and Hawkeye.

Do I get some sort of reward for finally finishing this thread?
Was watching 22 JUMPSTREET. Ice Cube deserves a motherfucking Oscar.
I'm not even joking.

Hope you enjoy both Impact. Haven't seen Mockingjay, but I loved Big Hero 6.
Saw both. Loved both. Loved BH6 just a little bit more

I think she's a really good actress. I don't think she's perfect like her fans (didn't like her in X-Men: FC or AH), but she's solid in everything else (and brilliant in SLP).
I cannot stand her in DoR movies, both SLP and Hustle. I couldn't finish either one, LOL!

Besides Baby Thor of course, the acting is aces across the board in this franchise. Like I said yesterday, the acting has actually turned most of these characters into more developed and likable ones then they ever were in the books.
Julianne Moore, Jeffery Wright, and PSH were riveting, for sure. And I desperately wanted something to happen b/w Effie and Haymitch
Hutcherson really ramped up his game too. Really strong performances across the board.

You should run away from here as fast as possible.
Ha! I'm well aware of The JLaw Effect around here. Fortunately, I don't let my lack of enjoyment of her affect my enjoyment of the movies she's in. I loved DoFP and THG and MJ1 at least.
-
Well then. As someone who's not a fan of Jennifer Lawrence, liked THG but didn't like CF, I really enjoyed the hell out of this one. I think I was a bigger fan of all the acting bigwigs (Julianne Moore and PSH are LOVE!!!), and Effie/Haymitch, like, forever.
I also don't like the split, but whatever. For the material with the first book, Lawrence and the writers did the best work they could with it. The political theater stuff was so well done.

Yep. The tech used for this movie is INSANE. Some shots looked real.
That was what my husband and I said to each other after we watched the movie.
San Fransokyo looked incredibly rich and detailed.

Disney/ABC dropped the ball big time by not having AOS streaming on Netflix a week or so before the new season started. Yes, while the prior season was uneven by majority view, people could've caught up with the show post-WS and rolled right into the season premiere. If just a few more Nielsen households caught the latter half of last season, ratings might have improved for this more stellar season.
That said, this show, I want to marry it like WHOA!!
-
Do you guys think this will continue after this season? Ratings have been atrocious so far.
When you factor in the Live+7 Day viewing (which accounts for Hulu views as well… people like me who don't have cable/network television so have to watch it a day later, and Hulu service does have commercials play during the episodes) the average increase is usually above 70%, which is a huge leap. Puts the measurable viewing around 7 million viewers each week.
It's not a huge number, but it also is a top ratings getter for men 18-49, a coveted demographic for ABC.
I think it does okay for now.

At Disneyland this weekend. Haven't seem many plush Baymaxes (I'm ordering the one I saw online for my son's Christmas present though), but they have a full set of all the characters' smaller scale action figures for $21. Which includes both regular Baymax and armored Baymax and Tadaschi.
The Numbnut loves it!

Yeah the look on his face speaks volumes, lol.
"But Daddy, I wanted the Iron Man onesie!"

Tele Jr. likes the Avengers?
Go figure.
My little dude...
OMG OMG!!!
My niece (who's a Bat-fanatic) got my son a Batman onesie with a six-pack that was the KYOOOOOOTEST!!! Ugh, I wish it still fit him.
Of course, to combat the Batcooties, I got him a Junkfood Captain America onesie. Heh.

Believe me, the karmic force in the universe smacked me upside the head. Tele Jr.'s favorite show right now is the animated Avengers series, and his three favorite characters are Iron Man, Captain America, and Hulk.
Tele Jr. is my new favorite

Is it too early to start the belly aching about how bad the Wed drops are?
It's coming, so let's emphasize that the sky is not falling tomorrow and large, LARGE drops across the board are coming.

So, wonder if a $60 million 5-day is on track for HB2? Seems like it would get better WOM than DADT.
(I have no idea what to compare it to?)
