I went to watch dragons 2 (again ), today at 3pm30 and the theater was full, plenty kids who loved it and adult loved it as well. I was quite surprise to see so much people, because I was still expecting le petit nicolas to do better ;

I'm pretty impressed by France number because , yes wenesday was the last day of fete du cinéma, but the weather was so sunny. So i was worried for the opening day. Now , this passed week end it was the big first depart for holidays for families, which meant they are on their road, train or plane to reach their vacation place... And some others student, failed at the baccalaureat and are in need to study during the week end to go at the next chance to have their diploma. oh and on friday there was the big game france vs germany. Despite all of these, dragons 2 made more than 1 millions admissions in 5 days. I wouldn't have bet on this if i had to do a bet!

proud to be french, today i went to see the movie again, at the 6pm screening and the theater was full ^^ and audience love it, it was fun, the small kid behind be , a boy around 7 years said " I loved it " and the awkard moment when a boy asked at loud " LOL The word of mouth is excellent in France. It's just the begining, not even a week and already done awesome number! very proud

more from what the OS brought ( and it's not open everywhere yet ) or it's just opened this week for some . It was already twice more than the original for the markets which are already opened, it's already a lot!

What you seem all forget , is that even with that , the movie did more than the first in this countries. Beside in Brazil, the theaters are close when there is a game! so it can do numbers if the theater are close! the movie won't go anywhere, people will go when the theater will be open again . and the weeks day number in brasil , we don't have it. But that doesn't mean they don't exist! In russia the movie did more than the first movie already... it's the same for the asian market! you are all acting like it's a flop overseas when the markets already did twice more than the firt movie ( more or less! ) and the movie is still playing

well some people won't stlll understand that a movie can't have good number if the theaters are close lol and will say httyd2 is a flop... Ignoring on purpuse it's not, it's because a lot of theaters are close . Do we have numbers for the weekdays?

i think the discount is at the charge of theaters.... Not the distributors or the production of movies. The theater gave away is own pourcentage that day. Or else no movies will want to be released on fete du cinéma or be part of it. Beside theater makes money with pop corn , drinks . Etc that day and there is no discount for the 3d or imax 3d, i had to pay 5euros +3.5, for the imax 3d for example.
