What is the best popcorn movie in last 10 years?
The Movie Man replied to The Stingray's topic in The Speakeasy
* The Avengers is too heavily with too many characters for me to consider it a great popcorn movie. * I am the only one to vote for Indiana - which was a popcorn movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! * I am the only one to vote for Pirates, lol! * You asked for the best and then allowed multiple votes - question not phrased properly then. * Not voting for the Incredibles as I didn't get the popcorn effect from a animated movie. * Voting for Pirates, Indiana & Star Trek & Fast Five! What is the best popcorn movie in the last 10 years? [*]Spider-Man (1 votes [4.17%]) Percentage of vote: 4.17% [*]Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (1 votes [4.17%]) Percentage of vote: 4.17% [*]Spider-Man 2 (0 votes [0.00%]) Percentage of vote: 0.00% [*]The Incredibles (3 votes [12.50%]) Percentage of vote: 12.50% [*]King Kong (0 votes [0.00%]) Percentage of vote: 0.00% [*]Transformers (2 votes [8.33%]) Percentage of vote: 8.33% [*]Iron Man (0 votes [0.00%]) Percentage of vote: 0.00% [*]Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (1 votes [4.17%]) Percentage of vote: 4.17% [*]Avatar (2 votes [8.33%]) Percentage of vote: 8.33% [*]Star Trek (2 votes [8.33%]) Percentage of vote: 8.33% [*]Toy Story 3 (2 votes [8.33%]) Percentage of vote: 8.33% [*]Fast Five (2 votes [8.33%]) Percentage of vote: 8.33% [*]Marvel's The Avengers (5 votes [20.83%]) Percentage of vote: 20.83% [*]Other (3 votes [12.50%]) -

Make it 15 Years or 11/13 Years! As the Mummy 1 & 2, 1999 & 2001, are the best examples of Popcorn Movies! Since Raiders! -
TV Shows Grades
The Movie Man replied to The Movie Man's topic in Streaming, TV Series, & VOD Movies
I have to watch a couple of Ben & Kate & Mindy's to make a decision, cause seeing one only a month ago, I just wasn't impressed, while looking for great comedies. -
On Dirty Harry, that was a great series of movies, just like his Italian Westerns, and his older roles - Unforgiven/Gran Tranino. and one of the greatest movie lines ever. I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

wondering what movie the flashback seen was from, in trouble with the curve, as it showed an actual younger eastwood beating up a guy - mostly they showed his face as he was pounding a guy on the ground? Pretty Cool Scene as a glimse of a younger eastwood.

What are your Favorite Movie Months, Based on Your LifeStyle?
The Movie Man replied to The Movie Man's topic in The Speakeasy
Thinking about this as some good movies now even open in February, do the studios still have a month they dump bad movies? Or are they now just sent to DVD, without opening in theaters. -

B. Saw the office and I will give it a solid b as I for one got tired of Michael being way too stupid. And Andy is a much better mix for manager. -

Trouble with the Curve
The Movie Man replied to baumer's topic in Review That Movie! (Spoilers Allowed)
Saw it as liked it even though it was very basic. But I enjoyed the actors on the screen and the baseball talk, mostly from the scouts eyes. And I thought all the main actors shined, eastwood, Adams especially, jt who is very likable in movies and nice seeing john goodman. -
Are you as Excited about Future Movie Openings, as in the Past?Me not as much? In the past, I would do a countdown, and almost always see it on opening day, and then hit the internet movie forums to talk about it!Now, I will see it in the opening week, but the excitement isn't there as much for me, anymore!

I AGREE > More stars, more action, more fun.

Problem was with Pierce getting more of a beating at the end, Shia sure couldn't do it as Shia was just a pretty boy, who probably couldn't even beat up her girlfriend's father.
-
I liked it, except Hardy and the brothersall, but I am bothered when movies have stupid parts. Wish the Screenwriters would do a better job of not being so stupid, which takes away from the movie.* for example, after Hardy gets his neck cut, almost ear to ear, have someone find him right away, as there is no way he lives with the blood he loses, for an hour or more...sorry don't care about the legend...which was proved wrong at the end anyway.* and why didn't they just burn down the house and try to kill them all....especially since Pierce didn't have any trouble with extreme violence....and if the brothers were dead, no one would be running the still.* and sorry, I hated that one last scene. Let the guy live and everyone be happy, over the dying and the ending line of it being told.

Wow, 30 views and no one....well I only made this up as when I tried to read the Expendable reviews I got stuch reading 3 pages on what a badass Dolph is, that I even forced Dolph into this poll, when he probably was even worthy...or another basicallt talking over my thread of classic actors why YO ADRIANNE Stallone wasn't list among the classic actors that he had no place belonging.
