I've seen it 6 times. Got my final viewing in IMAX 3D last night. Won't be seeing it again... Until home video release. I'm all Star-Wars-Ed out for the time being. And I'm sure many others are too. 950 would be awesome. 200m over avatars original run.

No other movie is having any substantial advanced ticket sales... Beside Revenant, which is nearly sold out through the night as well. However Revenant only has 4 showings... Star Wars has 19. I AM in Utah, R-Rated films aren't as in demand as Family movies.

That's a much bigger drop than I expected. Theaters near me are already 80-90% full for showings through the rest of the night. (For Star Wars) I'm sure some will sell out by showtime. Gotta love discount Tuesday. It's just 2 theaters... But hopefully it translates into a decent sized bump today. +30% ?

Is a 5M Monday a reasonable expectation?

TA was at 80% of its final gross on day 24. If SW is 80% complete as of today that would mean its final gross would be 960M. Avatar was 55% complete... This would put SW's final gross around 1.3B (obviously not happening)

The Avengers, Avatar & SW7 all passed significant milestones on their 4th Saturday... (Day 24) AVATAR - 400M TA - 500M SW7 - 800M

Avatar and Star Wars follow the same "swoop" at the same day. That's amazing. from here on I see it leveling out.

Just got back from a sold out 10:30 showing of the Martian.... You read that right... Sold out showing of the Martian. 10:30PM. Paid $1.25 for my ticket . (Student discount... Live in a college town) Anyways, the previews were obviously all very out dated. The original Star Wars 7 trailer was shown. People literally cheered... For the Star Wars Trailer... Before the Martian... On January 9th 2016 ?. Awesome Saturday Jump! I was expecting 16-17.

For whatever reason a lot of people tend to stay home Wednesday nights. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong) but this is the reason a lot of TV shows air on Wednesday and Thursday's. The ratings will be higher because more people are at home. People are also into their weekly routine by Wednesday... Probably more tired than they would be on a Monday. Which means they are likely to stay in and watch Netflix and go to bed.

What are we thinking? Lows 7s, high 6s at worst? If the number was amazing (like flat or a very small drop) I would think we would have had a number by now. I think anything above JW's 3rd Wednesday (5.9M) will be awesome. Considering we're in a post holiday winter weekday Wednesday coming off a discount Tuesday. Not to mention JW was in the middle of summer. My realistic guess is 5.9-6.2 range. My "Well... It IS Star Wars" guess is 6.9-7.4 I've never given my actual guesses in fear of being wrong and getting ridiculed... But I've decided I don't give a shit about that.
