HBO survives on subscriptions not ratings, and most of the shows piracy happens internationally.
They'll make their money through merchandise, International TV rights, subscriptions and DVD's (all of which bring in a ridiculous amount of money). They'll be fine. This is more of an issue for international broadcasters.
I saw someone say this on Reddit the other day. The topic was "Why does Michael Bay get shitted on for directing Michael Bay films, but the Fast and Furious movies are somewhat beloved, despite being Michael Bayish?"
Nah, it would have increased. Everything in those trailers would've been in the movie and the trailers whether PW was alive or dead. It would have increased, but not by this much.
I never got it either.
The thing was everybody already called the first movie "Fast and Furious" because they couldn't be bothered to say the whole thing.
