  1. Dont get me wrong, Cate Blanchett did a phenomenal job as Hela in Thor 3. But I had wanted Charlize Theron 😂! Oh, the suffering she would have bestowed upon Asgard 😂! Audience would have been so happy to see her crushed under Surtur's sword 😂

Maybe Marvel wasn't in her price range. It could also be that, she's one of those actors that still looks down on comicbook movies, despite them attracting more upper echelon actors, with the box office dominance. She did "Hancock" with Will Smith, but that was before her rise.

  2. I thought The First Purge was better, but this had its moments. New villain list entrant,

    white supremacist leader "Alpha"

😂. Sometimes you have a villain with limited screen time, but creates so much havoc 😂.

The actor who will be playing Namor The Submariner in Black Panther 2 is starring.  Doesn't, have Namor's prominent facial features, like the pointed jaw, which is why I had Zachary Quinto in mind. This guy is more round faced. Prosthetics will take care of the pointed ears. He also doesn't appear to be a fitness guy, but they hire coaches to round into shape.

  3. In Thor:Ragnarok, Thor is about to battle Hela, when a terrified Loki summons the Bifrost so they can escape. Hela gets in too, which leads to a fight in the Bifrost, while flying at light speed through the rainbow colored vacuum wormhole 🙂. I thought it was the coolest thing Marvel Studios ever did, especially when seen through a 3D tv 🙂.

I've got an inkling that there will be a similar, but perhaps even longer, "weightlessless" battle scene in this movie, that I will also love 🙂

  4. Haven't you learned by now not to count out the MCU faithful?! They'll be out in force, COVID masks and all! After they propelled Thor: Ragnorak to the upset win over DC's "Avengers" team up (setting up the greenlight for Thor 4), I stopped doubting.

It will either be 100M or slighly below, like 98. Take Fast 9 as a  litmus test! Fast 9 IS a huge franchise, but its nowhere near the brand that Marvel Studios is. YET it was able to do 70M worth of COVID OW business! If that can do 70, I can easily see Black Widow eclipsing 100!

That “complaint” in particular is used by many youtube reviewers who want to seem more stern and serious as reviewers than they really are.

😂😂...it's true though! You can get the MCU fanatics to bust a gut over the lamest joke! Oh, a famous mistimed one...Tony Stark and Steve Rogers got finished almost killing each other in Civil War...and they follow that with a deflating mailman joke that totally erased it 😂!

  6. One of the YouTube reviewers didnt seem to know why Marvel Studios insists on misplaced jokes RIGHT after dramatic moments. If you've ever been to a packed theater on opening night, among the fanatics and cosplayers, you know exactly why Marvel movies will always sway towards the comedic 🙂.

During a typical Marvel movie, say there are 50-60 jokes. Okay, lets say only half of them are going to be hilarious, some will be just okay, the others will totally miss the mark. They will laugh, giggle and cackle at EVERY. SINGLE. ONE 🙂. The misplaced joke could have completely ruined a pivotal moment, doesn't register, HAW HAW HAW!! Its like they're intoxicated, not by actual booze, but the euphoria of seeing their heroes on the big screen.

Now, imagine if you're a Marvel Studios exec watching this at a test screening. You're gonna think you're...funny 🙂! 10 jokes a movie turns to 30, then 60! They know their audience! How do you think Thor finally caught on with the MCU fanatics, after being crapped on for so long? Thor:Ragnarok was SILLIER...HAW HAW HAW. It wasn't this grand script improvement over Thor 2 😂!  I like the movie, but I know the real reason why it succeeded...

  7. This is something I've noticed about Marvel Studios from the Thor/Guardians films, and I always get pushback from the fanatics...

They DO CGI, yes they do...but they're VERY frugal with CGI BEINGS. They'd much rather go with the less expensive option, a human in a costume, or delete the character entirely.

Guardians portrays "alien" races, but 99% of them are human like...if you've seen the Nova Corps in the comics, one of them is a tall winged gargoyle dude. Nowhere to be found 🙂...a lot of Thor's foes, that would have required extensive CGI work are MIA...

The TVA protects the sacred timeline by procecuting variants across the universe. The only one that seem to violate the timelines are human like characters, that don't need CGI 😂...no insectoids, mutant beasts..I'll get the usual fanboy loyalist pushback, but it's pretty glaring.

Anyway, if the episode 4 post credits scene is teasing a

"Revenger" style team of alternate Loki's, to battle the TVA, these last two episodes could wind up being very cool 🙂.

  8. About to catch episode 4 tonight in a little...amazing thing is that Loki has always been portrayed as the opposite of Thor. Thor is the sledgehammer, the warrior.

Instead of beating people straight up, Loki is more of the trickster. He'll make an illusion at a cliff, for a frost giant to run through and fall to it's death. Gets beaten one on one by Valkyrie. Uses the Chitauri and The Destroyer to battle the Avengers and Thor.

Now all of a sudden he's Jean Claude Van Dam 😂! He's now a man that physically overpower someone with his bare hands 😂! Despite this glaring inconsistency, I'm enjoying the series 😂!

  9. I got a sneaking feeling that this is gonna be the first Sub-Mariner origin movie, more so than the sequel to Black Panther. Know what I mean? Chadwick is no longer with us, and he wont be recast. The Wakandans are gonna be here, but the movie will be a launching pad for more Sub-Mariner films.

  10. The theater appears to be going back to my customary mid-afternoon show times, so I was able to get a $4:30PM

Charlize Theron 😂😂...Theron, Theron Theron 😂...one of the great villain actors, man OR woman, of this era 😂...there's a new #1 2021 villain, unseating Sub-Zero 😂

Cena was promoted as the villain of this movie, but Theron was obviously not gonna be overshadowed 😂! There's actually three villains in the movie, and Theron outshines the other two 😂! Cena is actually the THIRD best villain in the movie, below the CEO guy! However, both Cena and the CEO are made pawns and usefull idiots to Theron 😂!

At the end, her plan was thwarted, and she just...nonchalantly walks away like, oh well, on to the next plan 😂! The amazing thing about is that I felt the movie didn't do ENOUGH with an actor of Theron's caliber, she was in a support role. It STILL didnt stop her from overshadowing the other two villains, that got the lions share of screen time 😂!

2021 Villain List Update, through late June:

    #1 Charlize Theron's Cipher (Fast 9)

        Runner Up-Sub-Zero (Mortal Kombat 2021)

    3. Apex Cybernetics CEO Walter Simmons (Godzilla vs Kong)

    4. MechaGodzilla (Godzilla vs Kong)

...I also felt that there was some shots taken at The Rock 😂. They even had a "Laws of Physics" joke, making fun of themselves. I enjoyed it for what it was, 8/10.

  11. Disney lured me in to their streaming app with Loki 🙂. Glad I got it. Great picture quality and surround sound. I must say that because while HBO Max also has surround sound, Peacock, strangely does not...the other streaming survice I subscribe to, Curiosity Stream, doesn't either, but I mainly have that for science/nature docs, not a home movie experience.

There's a function on the audio receiver to re-route the Peacock/CuriosityStream audio through all 6 speakers, so I do that. Audio hit and miss aside, the picture quality of streaming has surpassed cable.

Anyway, the "Time Variance Authority"  TVA, brings up a question...what if THANOS would have violated the timeline 🙂?! Would they have been able to apprehend him? With a slow motion baton strike 🙂?  Even if they did manage to subdue him, would he sit there under the judgement of someone else 🙂

They kind of explained it, that this is some magical realm where powers don't work. Okay...

Some wokeness thrown in your face, what's new 🙂...there's some confusion with Loki...on the one hand, he's depicted as a trickster, that can't beat his brother in a fight. That he relies on trickery to defeat rivals, not direct combat. However, he's ALSO shown beating a group of dark elves by himself, and here physically overtaking a TVA guard 🙂! Which is it?

For the first episode, it was good. It appears there's gonna be some time traveling, which could produce some interesting scenarios 🙂

I see Falcon/Winter Soldier and Vision/Scarlet Witch there...I may check them out. Not really interested in those other chumps, just Thor, Thor, Thor 🙂. Give me a Valkyrie series. A Ulik series. Vision/Scarlet looks awkward...

  12. Almost forgot to mention a great moment in Thor's clash with the Celestials 😂. The big red leader Celestial, 2000 feet tall, is standing on these two podiums. Thor hurls Mjolnir, shattering both podiums, sending the giant crashing to the ground on its butt 😂!
