Guys, this "reshoots" discourse has been debunked. It's three weeks and nothing else. Reshoots don't automatically make a film bad. You know it, and I know it. Anybody who continues spreading misinformation or hyperbolic nonsense over this silly kids movie will see a threadban. Your choice.

A "live action" Wall-E sequel might work, like the bots are still CGI but the humans are healthy and live action
That was always weird to me as a kid. Do you just become so fat that you turn into a Pixar character? I feel like that would encourage kids to get fat lol

I mean How to Train Your Dragon took a lot of creative liberties and turned out fine. I know it sucks to see things you like from the book not appear, but it isn't a death sentence IMO.

I have to wonder what the animation industry will look like if the major studios pull back on originals and focus mostly on sequels. That can’t be sustainable…
It will be like what the live-action movie industry is now. We get nothing but nostalgic toy commercials forcefed to us, original movies bomb left and right, and audiences will keep flocking to them, because "OMG MY CHILDHOOD" and they're too stupid to see anything that isn't based on a thing they are already familiar with. Pretty easy to figure that one out.

On a $55 million budget, these box office numbers are not great.
That’s nice, honey.

Just looks like the Netflix Castlevania show. Not a bad thing, but that was just the first thing that came to my mind,

Not a perfect comparison, but Rise of the Beasts had a 0.5M higher Sunday and it fell to 5.2M for its first Monday. Looking good, looking good.

So when are we finally getting the trailer for this? I guess sometime in July? Twisters is a WB movie OS, so it checks out.

Reggie’s character arc across all these movies was just magnificent. Other movies wish they had this.

That's right!. That was an infamous moment for the two legends. LOL Just checked RT and it sits at 4% from critics and 16% audience score.
One of my favorite Siskel and Ebert moments was how Roger was the only critic in America who liked the Burt Reynolds kids movie Cop and a Half, and Gene kept giving him shit for liking a movie that anybody with eyes could see was shit. They even went on a tangent about Cop and a Half while reviewing Broken Arrow three years later.
You gotta respect Roger’s honesty and integrity I guess.

Well either way, this "reshoots" discourse is old, tired, unnecessary, and everybody on all sides should quit arguing about it. I hope folks here learn their lesson and realize they don't need to regurgitate the same arguments over and over and over and over and over again.
Hint hint to said parties. You know who you are.
