Probably should give the Insidious films a rewatch at some point. Remember liking almost all them fine minus the third one when I watched them around when movie 4 dropped. All kind of had the same issue I have with James Wan films where its fun and well-made, but the whole never quite equals the sum of its parts for whatever reason. Though this new one kinda feels like a "I'll watch if nothing else is out" deal. -

Insidious really did come out in 2011, huh? Really doesn't feel that long ago, but here we are. WE ARE OLD -

Moderation I have no idea what is happening here, but we're done with whatever the heck @rebelscum86 is squabbling about and this hyperbole over Elemental's box office. Please talk about the actual numbers, or you will see warning points.

Forgot until now that the last Insidious casualty made almost 30M on its opening weekend without even having Wilson or Byrne in it. How the heck did that even happen? -
About 7-8 hours from now.

We aren’t doing this by the way. People being stubborn or making outlandish predictions doesn’t make them a troll and it’s important to not use harsh labels like these. Please treat your fellow BOT members, even ones you dislike, with respect. We also allow access for you to place users you dislike onto an Ignore list, so you can’t view their posts.

I mean maybe Inception was just merely the exception to the rule and not what we should expect him to make every single time? Maybe I'm missing something, but wholly original features earning nearly 190M domestically and 500M+ worldwide is pretty darn impressive if you ask me, especially with in the IP hellscape we live in today. Plus Tenet still made a killing overseas despite harsh restrictions. I really don't think we need this bizarre hyperbole here and act all faux concerned on one of only like 5 directors who can successfully sell a movie on their name.

I'm sorry, but in what world is Dunkirk an underperformer? Like I genuinely cannot understand that thought process.

This is already feeling like such a tired conversation. Like does it matter which movie is the bigger bomb?

Ehh, not convinced at Threads being much better. It's owned by Meta. Is moving from one service run by a Bond villain to another service run by another Bond villian all that much better? Jack Dorsey sucks too, but I'm more prone to the idea of moving to Bluesky when that goes public.

Moderation @Valonqar there is no need to make fun of other BOT posters with baiting like “muh legs” and name calling like “copers”. People are in fact allowed to have their own opinions and viewpoints on box office and making fun of others like this is uncalled for. Please treat others here with respect or you will see a threadban. -
I didn't want to have to do this, but @Poseidon @baumer and @rebelscum86 have all been threadbanned for disregarding my previous warning and continuing to argue about whether Sound of Freedom is propaganda or conspiratorial or whatnot. Next time, to everybody, please take note of a moderator's warnings.

Well, it's now July 5th and I've gotten more than enough submissions for an incredible WB countdown for the ages. Thank you to everybody who submitted something to me. Without your amazing contributions, none of this would have happened. However, I will accept late submissions up until I actually start the countdown proper. With so many movies to look over and so many lists to analyze, as well as tons of things to make write-ups for, this will take me a few days to set up. So if you missed out or just needed to see one more movie, you can still PM me your list. However, like I said, this is only going to take a few days. My hope is to get things started by the end of the weekend, but I can't make any big promises. It could be longer, could be shorter. But you don't have that much time. Either way, if you missed out, you still have a chance. And yeah. It's crazy to think the submission period is finally over and I get to finally talk about one of the greatest movie studios of all time. Hope you guys are excited as I am. There's going to be some great stuff in your future.
