  4. Feel like every other day we get some "lololol this movie made more in x days than Shazam 2's whole run" post. It's gotten pretty darn old if you ask me.
  5. Yeah I've been down on Elemental since day 1, nostalgic toy commercials and all that, but this isn't going to be a movie that's going to sell much right out of the gate even if Pixar was at an all time high in popularity. I know people will argue that being Pixar means it has "a brand", but this is clearly different from a traditional Pixar sequel or even a Lightyear. Think it's better to at least wait until we're a couple weeks from release.

  12. Genuinely baffled at The Golden Bachelor. Who is interested in watching seniors find love in a stupid reality show competition?
  13. It does feel like a muted ad campaign, so I get the confusion. I remember the first trailer came out, it got minor discussions, and then there hasn't been a peep since then. It's weird.
  14. I agree that it would be bad if Pixar just made sequels. But it's been clear for a while that audiences are less and less demanding than ever before when it comes to originality and what's successful has been the least diverse it has ever been. And well, if the market doesn't want original movies, then that's what is going to happen. We can't change any of this sadly.
  15. Problem is that those movies came out at a time when audiences were willing to watch more than just nostalgic toy commercials. And we sadly don't live in that era anymore. So if a Toy Story spin-off can't even hit 120M, what chance would a totally original film have? Would love to be proven wrong of course and the night is still very much young.
  16. I dread the day when The Emoji Movie becomes this "unfairly maligned classic" from people who watched the movie when they were 7. People need to acknowledge that just because you liked something as a kid doesn't mean you still have to like it.

More specifically, instead of the 0-10 point scale for Interest, it's now a percentage like everything else. So that means all the comps I've done are now null and void and I will have to start that area all over again. Which yes, is very frustrating and annoying. So while I will try to look over and update the Interest metrics accordingly in the future, since a lot of older movies have been updated, we can only do Awareness for the time being. It is what it is, but I think I can manage it.
