  1. And before anybody asks, yes I am aware In the Heights dropped tickets today. However, I'm not gonna track them at this point in time. I have three movies to track at the moment, and it takes about 2 hours to get through them all as is. Maybe when Memorial Day comes, but even then F9 and Black Widow will drop tickets any time as well. I'm just gonna play this by ear. Sorry if you guys were looking forward to that, but I have limits, especially now that I'm a working man.

It didn't really matter since there were zero tickets sold there, and I'm assuming they're just looking to update it in the next couple days. Not much else to report here.

And while this seems exciting, IIRC, I had experiences where sellouts just disappeared, likely due to some glitch or mistake on the computer's part for a chain over the last few months. But hey, at least for right now, a sellout is a sellout. Oh, and if you take out the sellouts, you would get 24 tickets. So it was just a typical day for the film.

The MK comp increased. That's cool I guess.
  5. Still not fully convinced fall will be superior. Maybe the colder weather will help, but Spider-Man seems like the only movie so far that screams “must see can’t miss” to the GA IMO

  13. Even if it's waiting for the right product, I feel like if there was strong demand and excitement to go back to the movies, numbers would be better, especially for Quiet Place and Cruella. Both are from reliable genres/brands, have major stars, flashy trailers, solid buzz online, positive notices. Yet both are doing lukewarm ticket sales. Maybe both are walk-up driven and will improve by the final days. But even if you assume they would have underperformed in 2020, the barren marketplace and a supposed excitement and yearning to go back to the movies would have resulted in these movies doing better than they would have, no? I know people don't like the gloomy forecasts, but I really still think there's cause for concern here that people just aren't interested in going to the movies anymore, at least in America.
