Moderation I've said it before and I'll say it again that we aren't doing this kind of fan squabbling anymore. Stop this right now, or you're seeing a threadban.

I really hate the Jurassic World series, so I don't have a huge horse in this race. But I don't get why "dinosaurs in the real world" is now all of a sudden a bad hook. It's basically a kaiju/monster movie, you get dope money shots when the dinos mess up historic landmarks, it's basically just a gritty Flintstones. That sounds pretty awesome on paper and would have gotten me on board if I was more in favor with these movies. And I don't get what else you can do with a "functioning theme park" idea. The first Jurassic World already did just about everything you could do with it. What else is there to hook people in? Another big dinosaur destroying the park...again? Second weekend has Lightyear taking up all its PLFs. Pretty much every movie sinks like a rock on its second weekend because its PLFs are swallowed up by the next big movie, and even if it gets late legs, it can still be hard to maintain a good multiple in the end. Said this before, but theaters really need to find a way to get like 2-3 IMAX auditoriums, 2-3 Dolbys, 2-3 4DXs, etc. in their establishements, because PLFs are the only things people are willing to go to these days.

I keep seeing people making these arguments, and I do agree there's a significant portion of audiences who are just waiting for it to be free on streaming, but I still don't get why a "leaked" date for Disney Plus will hurt repeat viewings. The only people who know DS2's Disney+ launch date (and it's still not confirmed by Disney, so who knows if it's correct) are movie nerds like us who read press releases and go on movie sites. Casual fans and families don't look up this kind of stuff and won't have a clue it's on Disney+ until a couple days before it comes out. Even Encanto, which had an already announced Disney+ date, none of the ads or marketing for the normies mentioned Disney+ until a few days before Christmas. I get everybody here hates streaming, but is it really not hard to believe a Marvel movie with mixed reception, even from people who like the film, just isn't having good WOM and is dealing with heavy competition from a popular movie?

Screw you Andy -
I’ve gotten it at The Batman, Ambulance, Unbearable Weight, Northman, Men, and Bob’s Burgers. That and Nope are the two trailers I am getting for EVERYTHING. I’m just praying for them to get new trailers soon, because I am so sick of “well that’s a shit deal” and “did you know the first movie was a two-second loop of a Black man on a horse?”

Cool story bro. Then complain about Disney for those reasons, not some garbage petty “lol Disney is only saying Pirates 3 has the bigger opening because they’re jealous UwU” like users were doing. Especially because if the former record holder was like Warner or Universal and Deadline reported the same stuff, nobody would bat an eye on this.
