  1. The premiere is this Monday, so I assume we'll get reviews around the same week.
  2. If it follows Black Panther on Friday and Saturday, then follows BATB on Sunday: 20.7M 62.4M (inc. previews) 54.2M 41.7M 158.3M #NotaRecord
  3. All of y'all posting fake numbers are trash, and while I'm not gonna call for any threadbans now, you guys better try and stop doing that.
  4. Fandango App Monday Tues Wed Thursday Black Panther 35,429 36,302 39,934 65,453 Avengers: Infinity War 49,836 54,892 68,826 206,000 Venom 13,602 13,818 20,867 31,569 A Star Is Born 9,115 11,383 22,641 21,501 Fantastic Beasts 8,956 14,238 21,861 31,880 Captain Marvel 33,951 37,060 49,745 64,456 98% of Black Panther (198.9M) 31% of Infinity War (80.6M) 204% of Venom (163.9M) 300% of A Star is Born (128.6M) 202% of Fantastic Beasts (125.7M) Last 7 Days 99% of Black Panther (199.7M) Day 17-Day 1 79% of Black Panther (160.3M) I'm way too exhausted to do any analysis, so...do whatever.
  5. SW movies are notorious for having abnormally higher presales compared to most big franchise movies. That's why we had all of those "Solo presales outpace Black Panther." That technically was true, but that's because of how much of a special case SW is. Also BATB was a PG movie that skewed younger
  6. According to this chart, only Last Jedi is ahead of it, so...yeah, that's pretty gosh-dang outstanding
  7. Deep Wang has access to numbers from one of the largest theater chains in the US, and those are the presale #s before previews started.
  8. I also went through a quick scroll through "captain marvel" on Twitter (thankfully no spoilers), but reactions seem really positive. Obviously these are preview audiences, and there are a few eh reactions here and there, but there's plenty of "amazing" and "great" reactions, that it's probably gonna play well with audiences throughout the weekend
  9. It was initially $22-24M, only for it to end up with 25.2M. So it very well could increase....but the wider gap compared to BP makes me say otherwise. Either way, it's on the right track for good numbers
  10. On the low end, using Black Panther's True Friday jump and Saturday drop, as well as BatB's Sunday drop... 20M 60.3M (inc. previews) 52.4M 40.3M 153M On the high end... 24M 72.3M (inc. previews) 62.8M 48.4M 183.5M So either #NotaRecord or #IsaRecord. Either barely above Hunger Games or barely above Incredibles 2. Either way, this is going to be a wild weekend.
  11. I just looked it up on Fandango, and while you can't buy any tickets yet, previews will be starting at 4PM on Thursday. Also of note, they're doing early access screenings via Fandango on Sat. March 23rd. But unlike the other early access shows, there's now two showtimes instead of one: at 4PM and 7PM. They really want to push this bad boy.
