  1. Man I wish we had that in America. Adult-only screenings seem like a dream come true.
  2. It's not even toddlers. They were fine. My screening had a bunch of 9-year-olds who were acting like animals during the entire screening. Even left a giant popcorn mess that was probably a pain for the ushers. Plus they were the kind of annoying kids who love to be the loudest person in the room and disrupt everybody else who want to watch a movie. I can't imagine being those boys' mothers.
  3. Seeing movies like Mario in the theater is always a nice reaffirmation that I never, ever, ever want to have kids in my life.
  4. I still think the Mario movie takes the cake for the funniest "grr it's woke". People were dunking on my Twitter timeline about some YouTube video that said Bowser was a simp and that Peach was a woke feminist. When it's like...this movie is for 5-year-olds. Go complain about grown-up stuff you weirdo.

  8. Yeah I think a live-action Zelda is what I prefer. Illumination would probably be the same patronizing fluff as the Mario movie and while I like Dreamworks, I'm not totally sure they would pull the style and tone off that well either. The How to Train Your Dragon team have all left and gone on to do other things and almost all their other movies lean more comedic. And even if a live-action Zelda is a PG-13, I don't think it matters that much? Other Zelda games have gotten T/13+ ratings, so there is precedent. And really, most PG-13 movies are kids movies anyways lol I am however hesitant on the idea of a Metroid movie, but not becuase of "maturity". Rather, the series has never been that big a seller and the games are basically just the Alien movies (Ridley was named after Mr. Scott). Like why watch a PG-13 Aliens knockoff when I can watch Aliens?
  9. Let him tweet. It makes it easier for the staff to find his alts
  10. As long as you’re not living near a nuclear power plant or a factory.
  11. I mean...Superman came out in the 70s. Would be surprising if it wouldn't with inflation and all that. I do not envy the poor sap who has to make a coherent movie story out of that mess lmao
  12. My top 5 game franchises? 1. Crash Bandicoot 2. The Legend of Zelda 3. Sonic the Hedgehog 4. Mario 5. Tetris Sounds about right unless I'm missing something big.
  13. Guys, the "critics were wrong on this" schtick isn't funny anymore. Can you please get some new material for once?
  14. This is basically like Detective Pikachu/Sonic where it's super generic kiddie fare and compensates for that by forcing references to that thing you like. Which like...yeah, I like Mario, but I couldn't stand all the forced references to Mario music and power-ups. Felt like I was being patronized the entire time. And give those Sonic movies credit, they actually have good voice acting. It doesn't matter of course, since 99% of people will still like it because it's based off a property they like, but it would be really nice if these video game movies bothered to aim higher than just be mindless fluff for 8-year-olds. Oh well.
  15. And this isn't fueled by nostalgic audiences at all? Come on now.
  16. I mean…we have to come out in droves. If we don’t have Air in our lungs, we die

So yesterday had to be skipped. But work and personal life take priority and I think you guys understand that.

  19. I mean...Quorum is high for Indiana Jones? Take out Mario and it's in the top 10 for awareness despite it coming out a long while away and it's been above 6.0 in Interest since the beginning. I don't really care about trailer views, since those can be manipulated by having them play as ads on YouTube. I'm sure once Cannes comes around, we'll sing a totally different tune.
  20. I do not approve of such blatant and unfair slander smh.
  21. Transformers and Fast X are weird. It feels like both should underperform due to franchise fatigue and the competition and the not very exciting directors. Yet it seems like the fandoms are hyped for what's in store and Quorum metrics are super solid for both (sorry keyser, I'm ride or die on that website). Plus if fatigue really does hurt both Guardians and even Spider-Verse, that's good news for both. Those and Flash are the real "they could do anything and nothing would shock me" for this summer.
