  4. Nostalgia has become an infestation amongst the masses that literally everything gets some “this was good actually”, because people remember liking crap when they were ten and are too stubborn to realize they like crap. 15 years from now, we’re gonna see tons of “Why The Emoji Movie Is An Unfairly Hated Masterpiece” articles. It’s gonna suck.

  8. Very fun movie. It does well combining silly laughs with fun characters while also having a lot of charm and personality all on its own. Don't know if it will appeal too much to people who aren't already playing the game, but it captures the excitement and fun very, very well. Good stuff.
  9. Yes. Clearly Majors’ lawyer is saying the honest truth. Lawyers always say the truth and won’t try to say stuff to put their client in their best light. Come on dude.
  10. I mean people refuse to watch anything that’s not a nostalgic toy commercial. That’s been established for a while now. Do you really think people will rush to see one that isn’t one of those that also has a 54% just because it has an actor they like? Come on now.
  11. Mod here. Off-topic discussions happen in weekend threads, and is encouraged when there is nothing to talk about. And frankly, this Majors stuff is far more important than how much money a corporate product made. This is another tragic case of toxic masculinity, mental health issues, and the abuse and trauma women are forced to face every day. These are the more important conversations to have, even if they can be tough. Frankly, it's kind of frustrating this forum's main focus on the Majors stuff is "OH NOES WHAT ABOUT MARVEL" or "HAHAHAHA MULTIVERSE SAGA IS CURSED LOL". Like...these silly superhero movies should not be your priority (yes, I know this is a movie/box office forum. I don't care). Besides, by tomorrow morning, we will go back to talking about the box office when the weekend estimates come in. We'll all go crazy for John Wick's opening, we'll laugh at Shazam, and everything will be back to the way it was. Just be patient.

  13. I mean...I'm sure it is. It's just that the trailers tried to hype it up as something ultra-dramatic with Kang set to be this super scary baddie you don't want to mess with...when the last Ant-Man movie was about playing hot potato with a shrunken laboratory. Just a real bad case of tonal whiplash. When the last trailer went all dramatic music and teased Ant-Man dying, I had a feeling this movie was in big trouble.
  14. Wouldn't go that far. He seems like the kind of guy who will be on a random network drama you've never heard of but lasts 6 seasons or some Amazon show that nobody watches. With the occasional Super Bowl ad where he's forced to play Chuck for nostalgia.
