  1. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-38 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 1 165 8,300 29,108 28.51% Total Shows Added Today: 1 Total Seats Added Today: 176 Total Seats Sold Today: 53 Comp 4.364x of Once Upon’s final count (25.31M) 2.396x of It: Chapter Two (25.16M) 1.690x of Joker (22.48M) Adjusted Comp 0.694x of Lion King (15.97M) 3.295x of Hobbs & Shaw (19.11M) Guess that Mandalorian promo did wonders, because this day was its biggest in over a week. It woudla been cool to see it beat out Frozen for today, but still nice to see, and does at least show Mandalorian is somewhat of a valuable promotion for TROS
  2. Frozen II Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-10 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 71 920 16,112 5.71% Total Shows Added Today: 6 Total Seats Added Today: 668 Total Seats Sold Today: 55 Comp 6.970x of Maleficent 10 days before release (16.03M) Adjusted Comp 0.352x of Lion King (8.10M) Good-sized increase, although the past two days seeing a decline from Lion King is a little suspicious. But it's doing well in other areas, and the comparison isn't completely fair due to just how much Lion King sold, so we'll see.
  3. It just went live a couple hours ago. And cute how you're ignoring the massive back catalog of movies and shows, as if they somehow don't count? I get you're doing a bit here, but you could at least try a little bit harder. At first I thought it was a likeness issue, which is plausible (Mary Poppins and SW face characters aren't on there either), but like half of the Disney Channel section are actors from their shows and movies. And it's not like Miley Cyrus and whatever is less expensive than Brie Larson or Daisy Ridley. So what gives? Although speaking of Disney Channel, I am glad Perry the Platypus is an option. If I ever get Disney+, he's probably the icon I'll choose, as he is in fact an icon.
  4. btw @captainwondyful and @filmlover and anyone else with an account, who did you pick for your character icon? I'm sure for wondy you were devastated you couldn't pick Steve or Carol, but I'm sure you had a good Plan C
  5. Just gonna throw out a few notable Disney+ tweets out there That's good (but Peter Pan and Lady and the Tramp better get the same disclaimer...and Pocahontas ) That's bad. That's byoutiful.
  6. Plastic surgery looks better, but he still looks a tad artificial and "not there" (and yes I know he's a blue hedgehog) Also cracks me up that they're doing the Smurfs/Masters of the Universe thing where the cool fantasy world gets shown for like 10 minutes and the characters get forced into the real world. I would think Sega would want us to forget about the awfulness that was Sonic X. 😕
  7. Ford v Ferrari Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-3 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 29 126 6,192 2.03% Comp 0.193x of Once Upon 3 days before release (1.12M) 1.059x of Angel Has Fallen (1.59M) 0.802x of Ad Astra (1.20M) 0.875x of Rambo (1.14M) 0.494x of Terminator (1.16M) 1.273x of Doctor Sleep (1.91M) 3.405x of Midway (3.15M) It's better than Angels. But still not great. Comps are a bit more scattered, but the lower range would definitely be bad and would point to an opening in the teens. But it does seem to be playing well in other areas, so maybe my stuff should be met with more of a grain of salt, and the comp scene could change drastically in the next couple days btw I know Doctor Sleep's 1.5M includes the Fandango sneaks, but I have no idea how much, so I'm just using the 1.5M as is. 😔
  8. Charlie's Angels Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-3 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 45 79 10,100 0.78% Comp 0.290x of Hustlers 3 days before release (726K) 0.184x of Downton Abbey (387K) 0.361x of Maleficent (830K) 2.821x of Last Christmas (1.62M) Yeah, sub-1M would be downright abysmal. But hey, I'm optimistic, maybe things will perk up. At the very least, I know the Downton comp will definitely perk up.
  9. I was at the movies a couple weeks back, and some teenage girls were passing a Charlie's Angels poster in the lobby and were making fun of the movie and KStew. Probably a little harsh, but it stuck in my head for a while
  10. Well I don't think Bing Crosby has anything to do with Philly. But for Mr. Cosby, he was born in Philly, he went to Temple. Fat Albert took place in Philly. He's sadly got that blood
  11. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-39 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 1 164 8,247 28,932 28.50% Total Seats Sold Today: 28 Comp 4.336x of Once Upon’s final count (25.15M) 2.381x of It: Chapter Two (25M) 1.680x of Joker (22.34M) Adjusted Comp 0.689x of Lion King (15.85M) 3.271x of Hobbs & Shaw (18.97M)
  12. Frozen II Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-11 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 65 865 15,444 5.60% Total Seats Sold Today: 38 Comp 6.553x of Maleficent 11 days before release (15.07M) Adjusted Comp 0.367x of Lion King (8.64M) Hm. Maybe I expected too much, but I didn't expect the comps to drop. That doesn't make it a bad day by any means, but it's not all that exciting either. Still gunning for decent money tho
  13. As somebody who supports everything Philly-related (outside of Cosby...and lowkey Kevin Hart), I have to stan a series that features Carl Weathers (yes I know Weathers isn't actually from Philly, don't have to comment and be a know-it-all)
  14. Midterms have made me cut out all movie watching for me Thankfully my last midterm is on Wednesday, and I'm hoping to see The King when it's all done (and Jojo and Parasite and Dolemite and Doctor Sleep...this time of year is stressful for my movie watching)
