  1. Dumbo will probably hold okay too. You can not tell me that Cinderella staying steady on Ultron weekend was a coincidence.
  2. Still, I think theaters will at least have a few showtimes for non-Endgame movies playing throughout the day. The average 12-screen theater will probably have something like this: Avengers x6 La Llorona Breakthrough Little Shazam Dumbo Captain Marvel
  3. Feel like Shazam might honestly not that bad of a hold next week and benefit from Endgame spillover. With so many Endgame sellouts, I think a lot of walk-up people will probably go over to something like Shazam to get their superhero fix

  6. Even if they don't make any money, I always appreciate Disney funding at least one nature documentary per year. I used to love watching this kind of stuff on Discovery and Nat Geo as a kid, and it's cool at least one company is keeping it alive in theaters. I also hope Disney gives Nat Geo's film division a higher platform for more of this kind of stuff.
  7. https://www.boxofficepro.com/long-range-tracking-men-in-black-international-shaft-avengers-endgame-updated-tracking/ Men in Black International: 30-50 range. 39/107 Shaft: 25-40 range. 31/100 Avengers: Endgame: 270-300+/660-730+ (that's literally how it's typed out lmao) Godzilla: 54 (+13%)/144 (+11%)
  8. Okay, so... If it follows Pet Sematary 2.75 11.9 10.8 6.6 29.3M weekend If it follows Glass 2.75 11.8 10.8 7.4 30M weekend If it follows Escape Room 2.75 8.9 7.7 4.7 21.3M weekend Glass opened on a holiday weekend, so this feels like the most apt comparison, and would be great for this movie. O/U Lights Out for the total probably.
  9. Also runtimes w/out credits (even though everyone will stay until the credits for this) and attachments for next week: Avengers: Endgame: 2:48. 2D showings have Lion King and Rise of Skywalker attached. 3D has Toy Story 4 and Aladdin. This is just like when TFA debuted. 2D had Civil War and Zootopia, 3D had The Finest Hours and The Jungle Book
  10. That seems really good for Llorona. I'll do some "if it follows" stuff later, but I'm pretty sure that locks 20M this weekend.

  12. The Disney/Fox merger already creating amazing results
  13. I think Wang said something about Beast being above Civil War and BvS, which at least did 10M before release.
  14. Pretty sure Beauty and the Beast is the best example (live-action family movies are getting rarer and rarer these days), at least from Wang's data. Don't know the exact numbers day-to-day, but I know that it ended with like 13M a day or so before release. I don't think Pikachu will do that, especially since Beast appealed more to a YA/female demographic, but it's better than nothing I guess.
  15. This is shooting in the summer. The Mule filmed in the summer and was done in time for December. So this will probably either open on the 13th as Jumanji counterprogramming, or limited on Christmas Day and expand in January. Fox almost always had at least two wide movies out in December (2018 was the exception, due to Alita being pushed back and Bohemian Rhapsody pushed forward), but Disney could throw in a big monkey wrench into the situation.
