Gone Girl 3:25 October 5th Crowd: 40% full Trailers: The Best of Me The Theory of Everything The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 American Sniper Fury Exodus: Gods and Kings I was planning to look at reactions, but there was a pretty obnoxious group behind me that got under my skin, but all of the trailers sans Best of Me interested me. The movie itself was great, with great suspense and atmosphere and two leads with fantastic actors.

Well, that's what I've been told by people. I honestly have seen only one, maybe two of his movies, and they were just more boring than insulting to me. And in terms of Gone Girl, well, he was pretty great in the movie, but could have been better.

People mainly hate him for his movies, enforcing stereotypes, shoving religion down people's throats, and not listening to critics. Or at least that's what I've been told. He seems like a nice guy, and I've heard he's good in Gone Girl, but I won't know until 20 minutes or so when I'm at the cinema. But frankly, I'm not a guy who focuses on ranting or complaining about stuff. I'd rather promote what I love than showcase what I hate. But hey, what do I know?

Honestly, I never followed the hate for Tyler Perry. His movies are clearly not for me, so why should I complain about him?

So I guess Death Cure will be in 2 parts and The Kill Order in 3. In seriousness, although I'm not all that interested in the movie, good for the fans.

Yeah, he's become one of those people I couldn't stand at first, but now he's become more and more tolerable with each movie he does. Who knew the guy who made Allen Gregory had talent?

Y'know this just dawned on me, but does anyone think this weekend is familiar? A summer weekend with two sequels being released. One is a sequel to a R-rated comedy that was a sleeper hit in critics and audiences, and another a sequel to a critically acclaimed animated film, a Dreamworks film, with both being highly-anticipated, were the second iteration, and were released on a holiday weekend.

Yes...but it is still a failure. For comparision's sake: Beautiful Creatures: $58.9M WW gross on an $85M budget (This includes P&A for all the films listed) Mortal Instruments: $82M WW gross on a $90M budget Legend of Oz: $8.3M WW gross on an $85M budget Free Birds: $101.9M WW gross on a $92M budget 21 and Over: $45.9M WW gross on a $35M budget AMWTDITW: $50.2M WW gross on a $75M budget Now I know what you're thinking: "But Free Birds and 21 and Over broke even!" It looks like that...however, studios and distributors only get half of the money earned in the box office. So, if you do the math: Money Lost for:Beatiful Creatures: $55.6M Mortal Instruments: $49M Legend of Oz: $80.9M Free Birds: $41M 21 and Over: $12.1M A Million Ways to Die in the West: $49.9M So, yeah, a lot of money can be lost for the studio, even if it isn't $180M budget.

Yeah they always succeed. Except for Beautiful Creatures, Mortal Instruments, Legends of Oz, Free Birds, 21 and Over, A Million Ways to Die in the West, and countless others. All big hits.

Anything else in the entire world>Sports

I guess maybe Pan. Even then, Minions will probably overshadow it in terms of the family audience.

Well, that's art altogether. What is considered lowbrow trash to one is something another person holds near and dear. And that's such an awesome thing altogether.

I just love how Disney thought Pocahontas was going to be their next Aladdin, and Lion King wasn't that important to them. Heh.

I was more of a Spongebob movie guy myself.

Might as well give my opinion on Frozen; it's good. However, I don't really agree with a lot of the praise. People claim it better than The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast, but I just don't see it. Now, there are a lot of impressive things in the movie: I like the sisters, their personalities, and their relationship; it's genuine, it's adorable, and as someone who has two younger sisters, I always do appreciate a movie that has well-written female protagonists. Olaf is funny (most of the time), as well as there being good laughs from the other characters. And the songs are great...okay, maybe two or three of them. And the animation is fantastic too. However, in comparison with other movies, such as Tangled, I prefer it more. Tangled had better characters, a more entertaining villain, a better flowing narrative, and just had better romantic chemistry. And while Tangled had two really great songs, and two others that were just okay, Frozen had only Let it Go, DYWTBAS, and FtFTiF as the highlights; Love is an Open Door was cute, Frozen Heart was forgettable, and the Olaf and troll songs were just obnoxious and terrible to listen to. But that's just my thoughts, so maybe I'm just an idiot who has no good taste, I dunno.

I overestimated. I honestly thought the movie would get over $100M. Now, it seems TF4 will be the only likely candidate, unless TFIOS pulls a rabbit out.
